I've tried it to see how it works, the only difference is you mine to your Braiins log in details not direct to your BTC address. You can set lightning payouts within Braiins dashboard.

Expect about 50 sats a day.

Thank you I'll know this for next time

Abit easier and cheaper to know who has bitcoin now though isn't it with our every move online saved forever 😬

I have been using Nostr for two years now, and the lack of a NIP-09 (event delete) or its equivalent standard on Nostr is, more than ever, a significant privacy and safety issue built into the current version of the protocol.

Snowden warned us of the dangers of a permanent record. Have we not learned anything?

Nostr, as it is right now, is a permanent record that seeks to tie all of your apps and your coin transactions to one key pair.

If that key pair is ever compromised, EVERYTHING is compromised.

If you accidentally doxx yourself, you are HOSED.

It's bad OPSEC. And it sounds like a honeypot waiting to happen.

Amber (event signer) is a decent workaround, but it has not passed a third-party security audit, and I still believe a parent/child key system is the way to go as it does not expand your attack surface by having to depend on a third party to keep all of your Nostr business safe.

Now back to event deletion...

The protocol is the protocol. Relays must use the protocol to participate in the network.

If the protocol requires honoring event deletion requests to participate in the network, then Nostr will have avoided this festering security and safety issue.

If certain #Nostr devs don't stop saying universal post deletes can't happen because of xyz (insert biased limiting belief/excuse here), and start figuring out how it can be done... it's a protocol design that's dead in the water to anything but mostly nameless, faceless anons.

The future is privacy-first, client-side computing, not relays. The clock is ticking.

Even if there was a delete on relays that honored NIP-09 wouldn't there be backups on Cloudflare/ Amazon etc?

Pretty sick option with the free LNURL now WoS and Alby arnt easily available. Having a play with it now

My concern is if a large enough % of people use Nostr the powers at play will just just get Amazon, Cloudflare etc to take the relays down. Or worse, come after relay runners on legal grounds.

Apple Seeds Second Developer Betas of iOS 18.1 and iPadOS 18.1 With Apple Intelligence

Apple today provided developers with the second betas of iOS 18.1 and iPadOS 18.1 to continue testing Apple Intelligence features. The second betas come two weeks after Apple seeded the first iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1, and macOS Sequoia 15.1 betas.

A device capable of supporting Apple Intelligence is required to download the updates, which includes the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max, Apple silicon iPads, and Apple silicon Macs. The updates can be downloaded from the Settings app on a compatible device, with developers able to choose between the standard iOS 18/iPadOS 18/‌macOS Sequoia‌ 15 betas or the .1 betas with Apple Intelligence functionality.

Apple Intelligence includes Writing Tools that are available wherever text can be selected and edited, and it can be used for spell checking, fixing grammar, rewriting with a new tone, and summarizing text.

Siri has a new design with a subtle glow around the display, and there is a Type to ‌Siri‌ feature so you don't have to speak to ‌Siri‌. ‌Siri‌ can follow along if you stumble over your words, and can maintain context between requests. Safari can summarize articles, and there's a new Reduce Interruptions Focus Mode.

Photos has a Memory Movie feature for creating slideshows based on text descriptions, and you can record, transcribe, and summarize phone calls. Transcription and summarization are also available for any audio recording.

found in our Apple Intelligence guide. Image Playground, Genmoji, and other new ‌Siri‌ features have not yet been implemented.

It might be a phishing site to collect the data (it has an exact copy of our website https://simplex.chat).

We submitted the complaint to the domain registrar (GNAME).

Do NOT download anything from simplexchat.org, obviously.

Boosted for awareness 🫡

You probably have bud, it was and is a mild cold at best (even at the peak of media coverage) for anyone who's not 100, obese or otherwise ill its an embarrassing to even mention.

I'm trying todecipher whether I should just jump in to running a lightening node now and learn or wait until Alby Hub hits Start9's market place.

Thanks for speedy response @alby

Does it come with the usual tasks of other lightening nodes? (managing inbound outbound liquidity etc)

Can I use my currently custodial Alby LN URL with a self hoasted hub?

Are there any good video tutorials on how to set up and use ZEUS? (node in the phone mode not syncing to external node) and how to set up LN URL?

Once set up can we receive zaps/LNURL payments whilst the wallets not open?

Are there any privacy implications of running the node in the phone? What info can you see?

If you end your service are the coins receiveable?

I really need to go self custodial lightening...

I think once it gets fleshed out with apps it'll be a great addition to GOS but at the moment there's very little on there!

I'd proceed with caution, when they go bankrupt who's gonna provide the security updates

Touching sand

Voting for change is like taking a vaccine for protection against covid.

Yep, that's the first thing I tried. I think it's an issue with the board as new power supply, new fan, and reflashed software (everything within my abilities to check) the issues persisted

Yeah it's resolved! The seller sent a voucher which I put towards a Supra 🤙

Keeps saying low voltage on the dashboard and over heating
