Bones, bones, bones... Seems like we always have ridiculous amounts of bones in the chicken runs. Deer, rabbit, and chicken bones to be specific. A few years ago, I started charring them in the firepit. Followed by crushing them and sprinkling them in the gardens. Supposed to be high in phosphorus, potassium, calcium, and magnesium, and other trace minerals

I had this crazy idea that I would make buckskins and sell some on kijiji, marketplace, etsy, nostr? Possibly make a few custom mittens or something. I have 19 in the freezer ready for braintanning. Other than that, sell fertile hatching eggs. I need some more ideas too.

Takes at least 24 hours. Drain it off. Keep slowcooking and draining off fat. Then I wash it by mixing it with fresh water in a stock pot and letting it cool. Remove andclean bottom guck. I store it in the freezer

Finally made made some buckskin sockettes, slippers, moccasins whatever you want to call them. They fit perfect!
