A state/government that does not force its subjects to pay taxes is not a state/government. That is a voluntary relationship which is no different from a partnership or business type of relationship.
Has any government in human history successfully secured the conditions of prosperity for all of its people? Is that even possible? Because my prosperity is directly violated every time I’m coerced to pay income tax, property tax, car registration, drivers license renewal, etc.

Fine then call it “the market.” Bitcoin was doing just fine in terms of price appreciation before government gave bitcoin its blessings. You can also call it purchasing power growth if you don’t want to think in terms of fiat. Still doing better. Idc if the government likes it or doesn’t like it. It’s a tool that helps my life and I will use it. If the government said steak and eggs are good for you, I’m not gonna stop eating it.
Yeah I am doubling down and calling this coercion. It’s not consent by any means. When you don’t pay taxes, you get letters from the IRS with clear intimidation tactics. It’ll say something along the lines of you respond asap or potentially face large fines and/or imprisonment.
Imagine sending a threatening letter like this to a woman you are trying to date if she refuses to go out with you. If she goes out with you after receiving this later, she has not freely consented. She has been coerced and her interest in dating you is fraudulent.
You keep repeating that the majority consent. But if people were asked whether they wanted to pay their taxes this year or keep all of their income, majority of people will keep their income. This is not consent. People pay their taxes out of fear. This is actually coercion. Do not confuse the two.
That’s not a choice. That’s like saying if you want to be free, you should’ve been born somewhere else. I shouldn’t have to give up my family, friends, lifestyle, and career just to be free from government theft and harassment.
It’s not voluntary if someone puts a gun to your head and says “you must voluntarily pay taxes.” That’s like someone putting a gun to a woman’s head and saying have sex with me. Then you say it was voluntary and not rape. If you can’t say no, then it’s not consent. Just because you can choose to die or go to prison does not mean it’s voluntary or consensual.
