For reference, as it seems that many are not aware of this, building gigantic databases of medical records starting in 1933 – with the help of IBM – is exactly what made the Nazi's Holocaust so efficient. Under the law for the Prevention of Hereditarily Diseased Offspring, private medical records were made available to the Government so the administration could more easily track people to be sterilized, deported, and sent to death- and working camps.
