it's one of the things that the ancient culture of "gods" do. i feel a connection to that culture, when i read about it, i'm like "that's how it should be" honor the dead with a memory that will remain forever in the knowledge of the people who come after.
there is a literal meaning to "ascension" like that of Jesus and Enoch who were taken up, but there is also a figurative, honorific form that when you are gone that if you did something important in our life, that you will have a memory created in the culture to honor you. mind you, sometimes those are not very honorable. Like Phaeton or aka "The Son of Man" which was named after an asteroid that was involved in an event about 10000 years ago that scarred the land of north africa and the middle east, making them into deserts.
which is a funny name, but the word isn't strictly associated with Jesus anyway, it comes from a long time before that. probably another terrible tyrant considering that its appearance was that of a fiery dragon that ruined everything it passed.
a lot of people don't treat their city dogs very well. here in madeira they keep them in tiny little enclosures and they bark at everything for entertainment. i think it's perverse.
i mean after i'm dead lol, not some silly nonsense
all of the stars that we know of that had names from before 5000 years ago were names of people. planets also. zeus, aka atlas, had jupiter named after him, and his evil brother chronos, Saturn. the reason why was because the war that was started by Chronos was coincident with the conjunction of the two planets, which happens every 400 years, and marks a cycle of civilization. i think Gaia or the earth, was named after an important queen of the Atlanteans also, the ancient myths from the sumerians and other ancient cultures related to these, the name Anunnaki means "the ones from heaven" and "heaven" referred to the golden age of atlantis before it split into 10 and then started the war in heaven, or Titanomachy. it's a pretty long and deep subject but this article:
https://mrereports.substack.com/p/heavens-queen-hells-prostitute
tells some of the story about the queen whose name was given to the earth.
oh yeah, i forgot to mention. the "bethlehem star" in the new testament refers to that conjunction. the most recent time that occurred was in the middle of the dark time of the covid lockdowns. i remember reading about it and looking up at the sky to see it, bright... jupiter is yellowish and saturn is bluish, and they came very close together and with the naked eye were visible as a brighter than normal point of light. this was the first sign of the end of this current age of darkness. a second one that came on 25th of june this year was a conjunction of jupiter, the moon and the sun that is described in the 2500 year old book the Vishnu Purana in which it says when this conjunction happens, a dark age ends and golden age begins.
and in general, the last 1000 years has been a dark age, roughly 1200 years per epoch, the two halves of the age of pisces, ended on that day, the second epoch was an age of darkness.
i'm sure that in the not too distant future it will be revealed exactly whether this is all correct. but i feel it is. somehow i've known it all of my life. i used to say, back when Halley's Comet came, that i would live to see it again. that puts my lifespan to at least about 140 years. that would be fine with me, especially if i do end up having a family and living the pioneer frontier life. here, or elsewhere, idc which. but it's going to happen. i feel like it was already written.

i just want to live a bit longer, without the shadow of the cult of Chronos shading every corner of my existence except the most private. some more adventure and learning, and lots of healing. that's enough to me, and then after that be remembered by having a star named after me.
nostr:npub1gluh6ns2vsxg493a87n3m8c2d2ketzh62p07lhkad4ffaaqj9mesu6d3sz if only dogs also did chores helping around the house 😂

that's why you should not keep dogs in a city, there's no jobs for them. it's like forced unemployment. city dogs are unhappy.
yes, the history still lives in the memory of those who survived. but they don't teach you it at school.
also, i don't buy this whole "reincarnation" thing anyway. i think you get one chance to make your peace with God and if you get through the test, then you get a second life, and that comes through His servants, the angels, who have mastered the technology and as it says in the Bible - will not just collect the living from here, but also reconstitute all of the worth keeping humans who passed. in Enoch it describes a place where he is taken to see the souls of the dead, who wait for Judgement Day. that day is coming. they will bring all of us back to take us to the new place.
but it's really important to understand this is a technology, an art, a knowledge. it is the uniting of the personal will with the Will of God. there are two paths, and the path of evil is the one that the ruling class of our planet of the last 5000 years of history have been inflicting on the good people of this planet. that is going to all be accounted for.
i think that it's a lot more ordinary than many people believe.
just like the islanders in WW2 who formed the cargo cults, you don't have to be that much more advanced to seem like aliens or gods to people.
and i think that these people who got called gods when they lived here, don't want us to be treating them like gods either.
revelation 22:
8 I, John, am the one who heard and saw these things. When I heard and saw them, I fell down to worship at the feet of the angel who had shown them to me.
9 Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not: for I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God.
that's what i believe these people who "ascended to the heavens" are - just humans with greater knowledge who want to share what they know to help us, and yes, in exchange for having us around and maybe some of them will interbreed with us, to keep our genes intertwined and ensure that our relationship with them can continue. when it comes to genetics, diversity is definitely strength. 72000 years ago only 5000 humans survived. it doesn't take that many people to maintain the gene lines but without those options up our sleeves, as a species, we can become unviable, and that's what they continue to maintain a connection with us for.
we have rich genetic material in us that they have mostly lost, almost to the point where they are no longer human anymore, and they don't want to lose that. that's the main motivation on their side.
and while i do have some small belief in the idea of there being a spirit to planets and stars and such, i don't think that we are bound to it any more than we are bound to this universe as a whole.
it's important to understand that when it says in genesis that it was a crime that the fallen angels "took human wives" that's not quite exactly what was meant by it. they seduced, raped, and impregnated them, and then enslaved them. that was the great sin that condemned them. not the simple act of interbreeding. the violence. the exploitation.
haha. actually cats sleep like babies too. couple hours here, in a half sleep, at any moment a noise and they are eyes open looking around.
my cat sleeps the most when he's on the bed next to me at night. until dawn, and then he's all like "ok boss, where's breakfast"
and so much of that history has been all but erased from the textbooks too. you have to look hard to find it.
i don't plan on staying behind if i get the option. i don't think that very many will survive the next disaster. there won't be any reincarnating back here if the whole species is wiped out.
the germans were all forcibly gathered to germany and they shipped all the european jews to palestine after WW2. sure, there was some of both already in these destinations before then but after, there was a lot more. the entire situation was forced on the people as part of the treaty of versailles, iirc that's where they set it up.
because it was always planned that later on there would be this war. so they set it up so it would inevitably happen.
my own family my father was of a religion that forbade them to be soldiers, so they were shipped first to korea to serve in army hospitals and then he was shipped to indonesia to work there, where he met my oma.
and then there was a muslim uprising in indonesia, and they ended up in australia, where my mother and father met working in a hospital.
the pigs in charge love to just shuffle people around like chess pieces. it's disgusting.
when i was little, we had friends who lived up in the mountains and had one of those old washing machines with the press thing to squeeze the water out of the clothes. i don't think that this work is so unpleasant, really. and what's she gonna do other than chasing the kids around, doing her hobbies and cleaning anyway. i don't get what's so undignified about it at all.
anyway i don't think this techno dystopia has much further to run. thankfully nature is going to bring and end to it one way or another.
pretty sure they intend to take us to a new planet anyway, that's also in the prophecies. and that they would help us prepare to live in this new place. teach us things.
this planet will be fine again in about 1000 years after this event anyway. it is likely to get very cold afterwards from all the volcanoes and earthquakes that the disaster will trigger. it's also said that we will live longer lifespans after they work their miracles on us.
in any case, i'm just gonna head for a high and dry spot in case that's not what happens. i could think of worse fates than living in stone age conditions without all the techno horror of the modern society we live in now. i'd be fine to live another 30-50 years that way. so i'm fine either way but i'm not gonna let myself be drowned.
actually he was a lot more vicious, this little one is funny, all scream and no scratch. mine tried to put holes in the vet.
well, i'm not suicidal, or fatalistic. i make my fate.
anyway, i think there could be help coming for us. many ancient prophecies tell of it. it could even be this interstellar object that is going to pass us in november could in fact be the rescue mission.
i don't know who they will choose to take with them but i know for sure it won't be the ones who are running this prison planet.
i would rather die of starvation because i didn't prepare well enough than drown.
ha. the mountains on the continent are nothing compared to what's here in madeira. it's a day's walk just to go to the next big town from where i am, but it's only 12km, on flat land that is a 2 1/2 hour walk, here it's 4. and as the crow flies it's only 8km
my cat was like this on the second visit to the vet after he was a lot better. totally was hating the medicine and he was feeling a lot stronger... they had to give him sedatives to examine him.
i'm probably going to go with the special header tho. it needs to be non-spoofable. i think that's already covered because the auth events for replicas are from replicas, just that at the moment, there isn't a 1:1 relation between allowed pubkeys and their expected addresses. i think if i switch up the configuration scheme so it pairs pubkey and address together then split them into a collection of address, key that this will let me prevent sending back to the sender who triggered the replication.
so, a little more work yet before this is done. just to avoid that pointless send when the event is already saved to send it back to who it was sent by when it can be known that was a peer. other than that, say i have 3, then the receiver sends to two, and each of those will send to each other AND back to the receiver.
it just sorta seems like to be sure it gets complete propagation, there can't be any such checking, if the event is already stored in the relay then it can know by this fact that it doesn't need to relay it again. so, it's a complete graph replication, times two. which guarantees full propagation, it just ... i'm just not happy with this. seems like something that could be optimized
BT can barely do 10 metres. spending so much energy supporting this method of connectivity for a telecoms protocol is retarded
not surprised such retardation is trending on primal. someone is blowing the dog whistle for them
i'm sure there will be mandatory drugs for inhibiting that like the ones they are now starting to give to dairy cows to make sure you dirty milk drinkers get it too
yes, because google coerced them with licensure rules. which is backed up by both the USA and CN government force.
google won the war against alt roms a long time ago. my phone is rooted but i can't flash it with a new rom because they make it too difficult to make roms that work on all hardware, deliberately. my phone is rooted because i want to leave it in my house, plugged in, all the time, and the default charger software overcharges phones left in this state.
but i'm still stuck with google everything on the phone, without extraordinary effort to remove all of the pieces.
it certainly doesn't belong in the kitchen
it's useful in laboratories but quartz and borosilicate glass and silicon oil are more important, it's in general in labs a replacement for more expensive materials.
nah i'm exaggerating. i'm glad to see chat getting a more thorough treatment. it's nostr's biggest deficiency. i'm not surprised everyone is getting excited about it.
there is also the fact that it is going to help bring on a lot more development of small, community relay systems to go with it.
so, carry on retards. the work is important :)
#orly #devstr #progressreport
so, i'm working on a sync/replication feature for ORLY now. because it's got the HTTP endpoint, the complexity of pushing events to other replicas is really simple. i'm not going to fuss over making a complicated sync system other than adding a last-synced date.
well, that would work, it would be default zero so i just add some handling to the http events API method that if it sees a designated peer, it just hammers the whole database at the replica starting at the "since" date of zero, so, it would automatically sync the entire thing at the beginning. simple.
with this together, and a DNS configuration that points at all three of the reverse proxy front ends on each VPS, it would create two or more highly synchronised, redundant relays, that would split up the work of serving data, and whenever new events come into any of them, all replicas have it within fractions of a second.
my goal here is reliability. i don't think anyone else building small scale relays have built a redundancy scheme like this, and it's really not expensive to run a few. like, one DNS registration, 3 ~$10/month VPS, each one with a reverse proxy set up identically except pointing at the local replica, and each relay replica configured with the addresses and pubkeys of each other and their own nsec for auth.
it's a proof of concept, and will be enough for my own second degree follow graph to run for 6 months before i need to think about upgrading storage, but the idea is that this becomes a viable method to create reliability for a business deployment of relays, it will scale up quite a bit to the point where it could be like 5x $100/month hetzners with 100+gb of storage and be highly available.
a highly available relay cluster would be an essential part of any serious business deployment. auth would be needed, as it is always needed for any secure web infra deployment (except TEA lol) and with this in place i'm pretty sure it would scale up to be capable of literally serving half of nostr's current load on 5 fast, distributed servers. i know that some of the big relay providers on nostr have even more grunty systems to do this with but i think that they are overthinking it. ORLY is simple and extremely fast, and should be fine as it is without any consideration for maintaining control over resource usage for maybe up to 50k userbase. by the time something like that exists, it will be extended with more management tooling to maintain second level storage and archival relays.
i already wrote all the second level stuff previously and tested it on a shitcoin back end, and wrote a garbage collector that could prune out several gigabytes from an 18gb storage, and the database engine wasn't even as optimized as my current version is, with about 10 seconds, concurrently while handling requests.
but but muh privacy lol. muh tail emissions and number go nowhere.
yeah, i just totally did not conserve my resources well enough in the last year. i could have been sitting on well over a bitcent by now, but instead if i don't get a job nailed down in the next two months i'm in big trouble.
i think so, yes
or at least, it is a bastion for people who are not accepting the programming. at least some of them.
recent events have revealed that more than a few of the more prominent figures are tangled up with some dirty business. people who i and most of my good nostr friends already were shunning. and more and more people are starting to run their own networks as well, and demonstrating the potential for authentic interaction.
Another EU globalist comunista that is so desperate to give you another solution that you didn’t ask for; the digital euro. This has nothing to do with bettering anyone’s life, but everything to do with maintaining their grip on the value of your time & keeping the plantation running.

we already went through the proof of work shit from circa 2012-2018.
- bitmessage failed
- hashcash long ago failed
- idiots here on nostr made up a pow for signatures that has failed where simple whitelists work perfectly
just stop it
bitcoin can use proof of work
no other use case is economically viable
pegged or priced in?
you don't peg prices to a currency, you price in a currency.
if the supply of corn rises the price goes down. it's not rocket science.
oh yeah i forgot you were one of those FE enjoyoors. what am i doing here
they are poisoning the meat now too, from GMO corn feed to meat glues and adding soy to the meat. it's so bad here in europe you can hardly find anything that isn't contaminated with GMO soy or corn. and i'm allergic to the shit.
so, today i finally got the wireguard mesh going with 3 remote endpoints and my pc as a 4th node in the graph, making a 6 path complete graph.
turns out to be more difficult to figure out how to actually use the mesh to hide my IP than to make the mesh. the wireguard install script i have been using doesn't account for mesh setups. the tricky part has to do with routing, since with multiple exits, which do you pick? so by default it picks your lan's default gateway, ie, no proxying. but all the links to the remotes is redundant, if any one of them fails or gets disconnected, the others remain available.
so what i'm doing is setting them all up with, to start with, developing this idea of a reliable inbound route, installing the reverse proxy i have on the first one, onto the other two, and then i need to figure out how to set up the DNS so it directs to any of the three endpoints, so they all will then serve as redundant reverse proxies, all of them pointing back to my test relay, specifically. as part of the process of developing this idea for a reliable relay routing service to allow people to set up a link to the three nodes in the remote mesh with the reverse proxy, so that any one of them can forward a connection back to their relay. so, port 3334 since that seems to be the default.
so, automating this configuration, it has to make two changes, one, to add a new pubkey and new ip address for the new client, and also add an entry in the reverse proxy with a new subdomain that points to that new ip address.
probably the simplest way to do this is to create, to start with, a REST API endpoint in the reverse proxy, that allows reconfiguration. it will use nip-98 auth, and a simple administrator address list in the environment variables, and there will be get and set configuration methods. i already have an adequate tool to work with this, it can do simple upload/download operations (already is used for import/export).
the difference would be you would just set your valid nsec in your environment, call the reverse proxy API get endpoint, and write that to your config cache. then, you can edit it, and then with the same tool upload the new version, et voila
then, the process of adding/removing wireguard peer entries... probably should roll it into one, so you update the config, and it rewrites the proxy mapping and adds/removes entries from the wireguard configuration, and then triggers them to reload. since i have to make the wireguard service restart anyway, and it's barely any downtime, might as well just do the both this way, so i just need to figure out how to control the permissions to allow this...
and then ugh the automation and the interface.
i am a #ragecoder and i write code to fuck these cunts shit up
i strongly suspect that more than a few of the assholes i hate in the rockstar brigade are in a conspiracy. this just shows how far back it goes
