Nostr "Nuntereggae più"

Sovereign Engineering started as a crazy experiment: what would happen if we brought 21 motivated engineers together for a prolonged period of time, in person? When we came up with that idea a little over two years ago, we didn't really know how this could look like or if it would work. The imagery that came to mind was a combination of "Bell Labs" and "The School of Athens" - as strange as this might sound. But we had our reasons for said imagery, because we knew from the get-go that the underlying philosophy of it all would be crucial. After all, it's philosophy and underlying principles that brings about freedom tech, not the other way around.

While the program and its cohorts are still evolving, I think it's fair to say that we are past the experimentation stage. The concept works. The amazing projects that came out of the past cohorts are testament to that: Blossom, Nutzaps, TollGate, Cashu Wallets, Zapstore, Wikifreedia, nSite, npub(dot)cash, DVMs, and many more. All these ideas were born during discussions on the island, and Sovereign Engineering helped bring them about.

Vibes were high during the last cohort, as the dominating factor of these particular 6 weeks was vibe-coding in all its facets. I am incredibly bullish on nostr as the glue for the agentic web, and that's precisely what we want to explore some more in the upcoming SEC-05 cohort, kicking off September 1st. Six weeks of high-bandwidth conversation, ideation, experimentation, exploration, and yes—implementation. Ideas are worthless without the validation of a working prototype, and vibe-coding is rocket fuel for prototyping. But we are also convinced that it can be way more than that, so that is what we will focus on. YOLO Mode.

If the above does resonate with you, don't hesitate to reach out and apply. Applications for the upcoming cohort close in a week from now. #SovEng

the non-podcast is the only thing that matters 🙄

If you're building an app and you don't have a podcast, maybe you're not building an app 😉

giving https://shakespeare.diy a spin. it can't seem to figure out how to fetch comments for a note. anyone have prompt tips on what i could tell it to actually fetch the comments? i've been waiting forever for a nostr client to add an AI summary button for notes like the grok button on dedbird, but no one has added this yet so i'm trying to see if i could vibe code a POC.

you need routstr or something like that (idk)

it's easy 🤣

def block_url_spam(x):

z=x['content']

for j in z.split():

if j[0:5]=="https":

if len(x['content'])==len(j) or len(x['content'])+5==len(j):

return "no context"

else:

return codifica_link(x)

yes it works (indicates that it is connected), for brave you have to disable the shield, but now it only shows outboxes.

I haven't found an effective way to search by lightning address on nostr #asknostr do you know a way?

#bookstr needs to exist. A new (old) type of long-format content: Books. A mix of the Kindle app + Goodreads over Nostr. Not quite nostr:npub1w0rthyjyp2f5gful0gm2500pwyxfrx93a85289xdz0sd6hyef33sh2cu4x nor nostr:npub1v7tvufenf2dyq5d0je4mc8flh80uep7n2t04zvurjjt8uwldfz6qhlmy2w A platform for authors to publish, distribute and get funded via zaps. It should be built for the open web, and books from project Gutenberg be automatically populated. Only Creative Common or Public books should be allowed to flourish. A PWA should be created for mobile experience. A great UX should be delivered. Functionalities should include deep-linking, bookmarking, quoting, sharing and funding. Top authors should be highlighted. Quality books should be community decided. Categories and subcategories should be made available. Technical books should be incentivized. Quality.should be seek and found. Authors should be invited to publish on the platform, with fair analytics, direct contact with readers and direct funding from fans. Reading experience.should be paramount. Version control and github books allowed.

An open reader,, a PWA reader. A library of open books and a community (sub-nostr-communiy of authors and readers, of open knowledge and arts. Not only long-format, a platform for a specific type of long form: Books-Over-Nostr.

Yesterday there was an update from Alexandria https://next-alexandria.gitcitadel.eu/

if you use amethyst are different poll 😅, I don't think you can post the poll directly in the community, but share it afterwards

It seems that vscode search now recognizes whether a letter is uppercase or lowercase, a nice improvement...

to say that once the messages are signed

I've probably posted this before, but here are some ideas for people who want to build interesting nostr apps that aren't just more microblogging clients:

- [ ] Time travel - see events as of a date/time (like FB's x years ago thing)

- [ ] Sophisticated telegram/discord-style bots

- [ ] Email inbox-like application

- [ ] Kickstarter on nostr

- [ ] https://letterboxd.com/ on nostr

- [ ] e-vite service/interface

- [ ] Good nostr music player

- [ ] Preference events - I want this, please populate it for me

- [ ] Client-side DVMs could be a good way to solve request/response for private information

- [ ] CLI for publishing DVM profiles and handlers

- [ ] Alternative bootstrapping mechanisms (torrents? dht?)

- [ ] Social key rotation protocol

- [ ] DVM in the browser that does something goofy like share with other people what you're looking at

- [ ] Relay manager

There is a DVM, a year ago.
