Found out trees have been taken down around my parents property. I keep leaving and then big changes happen.
A few years ago I came home to a field we used to cross to get to the bus as teens was getting a house built on it 😯
It was so surreal!
Side note, I dreamt about that field last night, and there was no house on it 🤣
I got pictures of the trees falling, so at least I have been forewarned. Not sure when I'll get to see it in person, so I'm glad I got an update!
Hubby shared how someone he follows on X posted that he keeps losing friends to Nostr. My husband invited him over.
It's a good sign for Nostr if people aren't just trying it out, but coming over and then not returning to X after. 😎

I've been learning Korean in Duolingo.
I was almost done with one section (3-4 dots) and then yesterday I got a notification that they had updated the app for me and adjusted my progress accordingly.
🤨 yeah, so now the section I'm on thinks I've learned everything they had to offer leaving only legendary to be completed, except I don't know ANY of the new words they were focusing on in this section 😔 and they're giving me words that I can't check except through trail and error.
I'm glad I know God, cause it was really frustrating me and I felt really sad today as I tried to do another lesson, so I decided to forgive them. It really helped! Now I'm just mildly upset about needing to do a work around in order to catch up on the words they haven't taught me, and a little bummed about not being allowed to finish the section I was excited about having almost finished before they stole it away.
Not your keys, not your coin isn't just true about bitcoin. It's also true about computer programs and apps. If I don't own it, someone else can decide to change things in a direction I don't like, and I have no say.
I sometimes miss the days when instead of subscriptions, I bought the finished program, although they came with some bugs at times.
Because a dog doesn't require a human to stop being selfish, whereas a child does. They substitute having babies with pets because it's way more limited than the real thing.

These types of comments are so undercutting, rude, and disrespectful!
I married a highly capable man. He doesn't always do things like I would, but he's not me, and he still gets it done! His way is either just as good or even better than my way. Sometimes he asks for my assistance, as I ask for his, because it's a partnership.
I feel grieved when I see statements like this, because they claim that "wife knows best" just like, feminism claim that women know best.
Men are not women, and have different values! That's good! It's way better to give men space to figure it out, because maybe they come up with a new ans way better way of doing something, rather than doing something the "normal" way.
If he tries and decides he wants some input from his wife, he can ask for it at that point, inviting her into the process, instead of having had her opinion forced upon him before he even started.
Men are capable, most of the world is built by men. Sure, women are also capable, but they do NOT always know best! They are NOT superior or men, they are different, and equal, and naturally supposed to be a helper, not a dictator!

I've been quite happy with my often slow internet because images don't really load on Nostr, so I can avoid most of them, and only let them load if I think it's safe, and even then some stuff comes through that I wish I hadn't seen.

I haven't picked my relays, but some messages never pop up, but then from the same person, they come through.
So, to answer your question, if they didn't see it, it's not a no.
The real question is, how persistent are you? If you really like this someone, will you leave it as a "note in a bottle", or will you reach out again, until you know their actual answer?

My husband and I met through a Christian singles facebook group. We got to know enough about each other through comments on posts that he DMd me and asked for a Skype coffee date, as I was 8 times zones away in a different country at the time.
I don't see why Nostr can't be used in a similar way.
We all have bio's. Mine says wife, but how about all the singles who are open to Nostr dates put that there?
Though the relays messing with DMs might be an issue, so it might need to be on a public post too, to make sure the message gets through. The one sided blocking/mute might cause an issue, if someone's previously been blocked.
A Nostr singles meetup might be another option 🤔

My own thoughts were that saving previously wasn't good because inflation would eat it up, but because of Bitcoin, we can now save and actually see how fiat inflates away, allowing us to actually have a stronger buying power by saving in bitcoin, rather than investing in really anything, as all of those things are based on fiat, plus houses can get damaged, and companies can go bankrupt, making investments risky on two levels.
Bitcoin, on the other hand, is solid, stable, and salable, and moves almost faster than phone notifications at times!
I know it goes up and down compared to fiat, but it's still stable, because as long as I don't sell it, my sats are still my sats, and a momentary dip doesn't mean much in the long run! Whereas with anyone who invests, if it dips too low, they're inclined to sell or lose everything as the asset that's backing it is potentially not good anymore. but we all know bitcoin is a safe bet regardless of how many dollars I need to pay to get some!
He'd probably find so much fun stuff to "sniff" you might need to go with him and empty him so he can truly enjoy all kinds of outdoor things 😎

Grok clearly wasn't thinking of Bitcoin, as bitcoin is better than everything he suggested. It can increase more than 10%, is liquid, and can either be saved for 6 months or 20 years, depending on what someone wants to save it for.
Would you say Grok was generally correct, or is there more to the difference between the two?
