Behold, the Egyptian Vaporizer!
I saw some in the store last week... green and hard 🫤 We don't usually get good ones here until the end of December.
That's so cool! There is one other depiction of this device. I was told, in college, that it's supposed to be a flower, and the orb and squiggly thing are supposed to be the flower's aroma. 🤣 Then my questions are, "What's the large cable going into the next room, and insulator (holding up the fragrance???) for?"
True capitalism has rules. Some examples: monopolies are not allowed, and prices have to be the same for each customer.
All I know about her is that if you tie her hands, she probably can't talk.
A can of sardines.
Christmas Vacation!
That seems very shady. I assumed the setting displayed when adding a product, or something similar.
It's common for sales reps to be compensated with a percentage of sales, but that's also different than being a retail outlet.
I think the real issue here is this marketplace hasn't established an income method.
Instead of hiding behind the fact that money is needed to operate, it's better to be up-front about how (and how much) they want to be paid. Then approach the demohraphic that resonates.
I had "pill bugs" drive my Hot Wheels cars while making roads on a dirt pile in our yard.
The harvester ants are kinda moving slowly today since its chilly. When i was a kid i could sit and watch ants for hours, because to me, they have always been very interesting. #Ants #countrylife https://cdn.nostrcheck.me/8d9d2b77930ee54ec3e46faf774ddd041dbb4e4aa35ad47c025884a286dd65fa/520c5f38912434a05f8b2ba5bdb4799a38aaa094e8e89e6bf11fdea7f79cae36.mp4
When I was around age two, we went to a motorcycle hill climbing competition. Crazy dudes, going near vertical, while clinging to a roaring engine that reverberates off the near-cliff, throwing dirt, etc.
I watched ants the whole time. Far more interesting at the time.
If you're not able to set the donation to zero, then it's fraud.
If they're only trying to trick you into donating, then I would file it under "standard shady tactics".
It's certainly less appealing than other methods.
Voting with dollars.
I prefer "being" instead of declaring that it will happen later.
For those that aren't aware...
Just because someone follows you, does not mean they like you. Just because someone isn't following you, doesn't mean they don't like you.
One of my favs.
Watching "Black Friday", starring Bruce Campbell. 😜
Nearly 53 Gb of Solstice/Christmas/Holiday music, movies, and TV shows have been loaded onto my media server. 😀
My mom's high school friend was the DA there. It certainly is it's own world.
Because ... quality!
And, I think Will does an annual dump. So 41 GB would be for the 12 months prior.
But, if you do it efficiently... watch out! 😜
💡 Building apps with Shakespeare…my thought proces.
There’s an app I *could* use as a yoga teacher if I wanted to. It’s free and I also get a discount from my yoga teacher liability insurance. So let’s say it costs me $48/year for argument’s sake. It helps me schedule classes, take payments, etc. Payments are only offered through Stripe (which is every platform, and I hate Stripe with a passion. I did the math on it for my 2024 earnings, that’s why. The more you make, the more it takes. Zaprite is better).
You can see it here. Simple, clean, bare bones. Everything you need, nothing you don’t:
https://app.ubindi.com/Heather.Larson
Let’s say I want to take the Ubindi idea and make Zaprite my payment method so anyone can pay with USD or BTC. (My Nostr yoga classes are free to attend, people zap on Nostr, but let’s say I am trying to onboard the normie yogis to Nostr & Chill).
I used #ShakespeareDIY to make this site:
https://nostral-practice-ztaf.shakespeare.to/
This would allow me to set up a class schedule and ability to pay online, same as Ubindi. Students can zap on Nostr or pay with Zaprite with their choice of USD or BTC.
Now, Ubindi also asks for emails, which can be convenient to get in touch with students in case of a cancelation and for marketing purposes. But in Nostr, no one is giving up a real email address. So this is the only thing missing for now, just some kind of “registration” so I could @ you all if I had to cancel. I do have a newsletter for marketing purposes, which you can opt into, but I admit I haven’t touched it in a few months.
I screwed with this site for a while and the URL is imperfect. I’m ok with this. I personally don’t think URLs matter, so it doesn’t bother me, but someone else may care, in which case buy a domain and do that whole thing. I’d rather refer people to my Nostr and have them see “link in bio” anyway, which I can shorten. No biggie. No one goes to the URL anymore. Search is dead af.
Total Shaksepeare cost to build considering I farted around was $31.01 and I could have been more efficient with that. But it was fun! 🤩
I could use Ubindi alongside my Shakespeare-created app just for experimental purposes. Or I can use this to onboard more yoga folks to the orange & purple world… Just pondering that. 🧡 💜
Sounds like many successes checked off! 😀
What part of the world is it from?
I'm not sure I understand the large sentence in your last paragraph, and that seems to be what the final questions are related to. I'll answer them, but you'll have to clarify that paragraph for me.
People being jerks is one thing. With a neighbor like that, it makes sense to quit interacting with them, regardless of their generation.
The argument that I frequently see is "Boomers are taking my money because they want SS paymemts.", so that's the context I was flying under. Being bitter that they had better conditions is the second most common beef I see expressed, and it's rather pointless, and still not their doing.
Buying into the generational-war psyop pulls people away from basic logic while they get wrapped up in labels, and start pasting them around. It also creates a victim identity for both sides. The same energy could be used for better things.
Except, I didn't ask for a debate. You never stated that you wanted to debate.
I made a statement and answered your question. Now you're going to pretend that I'm obligated to continue?
I can't tell if you're being obstinate, or if you're actually not able to comprehend, so I'll complete my reply here.
Yeah, but I can see what the topic is by seeing the first sentence/paragraph.
It takes to long to find out that the person didn't have anything of value to say.
I had a FB group that was censored in 2020, and the posts were mainstream media articles about Covid. The group name indicated that we were truthseekers, so that seems to have been taken in context.
I wouldn't rule out YouTube scraping sites linked from a video, and any other data they can gather for profiling.
I tell every trespasser after I've fired my first shot! 😀
From what I understand, yes, except it is "Bluetooth only". It is not yet wifi compatible, and is "sans Internet".
