Wait, who gave you permission to do that?

Somewhat sketchy Nostr service idea: post a link to a paywalled URL, relay gets the full content and posts as a response.

Agree 100%. Paleo lifestyle.

I ask myself regularly: did our ancestors do this, or something similar? If yes, then it’s probably what our modern selves have evolved to do also.

So they claim that a news organization stopped reporting on the rate of big bank CDSs? So what? Others surely keep reporting, right? Right?

I'm not a pro investor but I would have thought that Google could find me the answer.

These CD Rates are **not** CDS rates. They are "certificates of deposit" something something.

Who can help me search that data?

searching for Credit Default Swap works for me.

The VR googles are going to be Apple’s worst hardware release for a very long time — unless they delay it.

I’m sure it’ll have some extremely cool aspects, but it will ship with Siri (no way they have a good LLM yet IMO) and ChatGPT is advancing so quickly that Apple’s device will seem incredibly dumb in comparison.

The price is going to be way more than the first iPhone, or the Watch, so you can’t argue that their 1st gen devices are always like this. *Nobody* is going to buy it if it is powered by Siri instead of a powerful LLM.

I could even imagine the launch event producing laughter and derision instead of the usual excitement and plaudits.

Creatine is one of the very few supplements that seems to be worth taking.

I know Apple are all tied up in China-based manufacturing for the next decade at least, but did you need to be quite that effusive, Tim? 😬

I see a barbell distribution with that type of attitude on a [losing <-> winning] axis. It can be post-facto evidence of failure. Often due to using the wrong strategy, where no alternative ideas or energy to try a different approach exist.

Or it can be the attitude of the incumbent in the “first they ignore you” stage.

This is a UX challenge with the subscription-based protocol. When data is coming in at unpredictable times over a web socket there’s nothing for a pull-to refresh button to do.

It might be nice at startup though to have a visual indicator that the app is waiting for incoming data (more than the dot on tab items). Like the Damus icon at the top gently glowing or something like that.
