What a great visualization about inflation and how it devides people who have their wealth stored in inflationary assets against those who store value in noninflationary assets.

Shown in the case of a game that has internal markets:

It is a messaging app and can be used for big groups. So most probably it catches reach with projects or companies announcing stuff to their followers in there. Or people who are already equipped with a nsec and happy to find a more capable DM-Application.

You should not expect for any kind of application to get from alphatesting to mass adaption in a blink of an eye ;)

Has someone by chance already found a hands on video about the macini? Would really like to know how good it works in practice. In the keynote it seems an astonishing product. Especially for technical people, since it seems to have quiet a big learningcurve.

Is there a nostr app, which would work as a pendent to GNU privacy guard for signing documents? Where I could input any kind of document before sending it to someone and then it would be signed with my npub?

Maby this could be a thing to share documents in a reliable way, to make sure whoever reads it can verify its autenticity more easily?

Could be even useful for corporate documents, to sign documents digitally to confirm the authenticity of a document. Or can this even be accomplished with current implementations of GPG and just feeding them the nsec together with the correct algorithm?

Or cryptographic trust rather. So a very secure way to verify that all notes of a pubsec will come from the same user.

nostr:nprofile1qy2hwumn8ghj7un9d3shjtnyv9kh2uewd9hj7qgwwaehxw309ahx7uewd3hkctcpr9mhxue69uhkscnj9e3k7unpvdkx2tnnda3kjctv9uqzp978pfzrv6n9xhq5tvenl9e74pklmskh4xw6vxxyp3j8qkke3cezyx6uqg

I am totally aware of the problem, that it is very difficult to make sure that I get all notes of all npubs I am following. But do you might have a good longform article, to describe the algorythm how coracle tries to find all notes of the people I follow? And what efforts #coracle does to help other users to find all my notes, when they visit my profile?

I hope my question was phrased in an understandable way.

I think numbers can represent one model of a reality. To say in this room are 5 people is a model description that canlbe true or false verifiable by anyone looking into.

But it does lack details about the people. Their names and hight or color of their eyes.

But I would argue also describing a small fraction of reality is still a description of reality.

Could be. With the bridges I never know if it works or not. But I also sometimes got responses from him via the bridge.

Would it be possible to put your pubsec on the Github page of the project too, to proof you are part of the project? 😉

I did not understand the big change from whatever messages via Nostr to whitenoise. Is thre a good note explaining the novelties it is supposed to bring?

I really well appriciate all the work you do for GrapheneOS the Project.

But maby I envite you to not take things personally. Have you ever watched the great TED talk of Frederik Imbo? I actually love this talk. Since it helped me focus on my things and have more calmness. For understanding that there are probably thousand other reasons someone gets agry with me than my personality. So why suspect, that it probably is my personality in the first place. Mabt it is something I can change. Then I learn. And when it is out of power for me to change. Maby it is just not my business.

Two years ago, I warned in City

AM that the UK's Online Safety Bill risked undermining privacy and paving the way for government overreach into our digital lives.

Today, that concern feels more urgent than ever.

Last month, the EU Commission released its ProtectEU roadmap, outlining plans to provide law enforcement with access to encrypted data by 2030.

This is not about targeting specific suspects. It is about building the legal and technical infrastructure for mass surveillance.

Big Brother Watch have revealed that live facial recognition systems deployed in UK cities are wrong nearly 9 out of 10 times, scanning innocent people without their knowledge or consent. This is already happening in our streets, at stations, even at protests.

Now imagine that biometric surveillance linked to a centralised digital currency.

Imagine every payment, location, contact and movement tracked, stored and correlated.

This is not theoretical.

We risk building a society where privacy is gone, autonomy is restricted, and control is centralised in the name of convenience and safety.

The combination of decrypted messaging, facial recognition, CBDCs, and mandatory ID checks and full KYC creates a full spectrum surveillance regime. A system where dissent is not crushed by force, but quietly discouraged through constant surveillance.

What’s at stake is freedom of thought, movement and expression. We should be defending them, not trading them for the illusion of safety.

Once this infrastructure is in place, it is rarely rolled back.

Thanks for sharing this ProtectEU strategy. There is also an open letter to point out this concern on https://www.globalencryption.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Joint-Letter-European-Internal-Security-Strategy-2.pdf

It is important enough europe citizen are getting informed about this political attack on security and privacy.

When Bitcoin offers miners only transaction fees, would biggest Bitcoin holders may have to provide a additional mining fee, so the security is guaranteed by the biggest wallets, since they have the biggest damage when the Bitcoin security is low.

Mastering something, means achieving a favored state with the least amount of effort.

I think other metrics like number of users, number of usecases of an application (since it is easyer to design a secure note taking app locally, than a secure direct messaging app or even a payment app), type of usecase, number of potential threat actors intrested to attack.

As more usecases, as more vulnerable

As closer to money or political power, as more potential threat actors

As more interoperatable, as more vulnerable, since every additional userinterface gives additional attack surface

Here it is actually 1'300 x $3'500 = *$4'550'000*

What a low level lifestyle is pointed out here as Bitcoin Ethos?

5. Eat meat? Are people feeling so sick or weak that they feel so dependent on animals? I thought Bitcoin was about independence.

4. Print guns: why? Are Bitcoiners weak and insecure?

Yes often taxation of unfavorable products would directly lower the buying incentative. But with all addictive substances it is not this easy.

I really do not get what you argue about. Constitutions and laws are not applied based if someone likes it or not. When you want to change any law then this is an other discussion. I am only talking about that Trump should be held accountable to go into war without permission from congress. This is unconstitutional.

And I do not how this has anything to do with the relation between the federal gov and the state gov.

Ah I see. I missunderstood in the heat of the debate.

But to be fair, your comment is like two independent parts in one paragraph. Where none of them have anything to do with my initial note.

Your constitution lists books, that have to be censored? Never heard of this. But would defnitly be a new kind of escalation to write books into the constitution.

I kind of doubt, you read it though 😂

This does not even seem like a counter argument. It is only a fact beside. But I hope you also know what the constitution is?

#asknostr

#US nostriches, is it only me not seeing it? Or do most democrats fail completly pointing out unconstitutional actions of trump, like beginning a war without congressional consent?

Achso. Dacht weil du so BTC zeug postest sei es eher zu diesem Typen related. Segler ist mir eher sympatisch als so leute die denken Geld sei das Zentrum des seins.

Its a popular bitcoin influencer.

I now read a bit about Liechtenstein. "Liechtenstein is slightly more direct in its democracy than Switzerland." is probably not correct.

Comparison:

In Liechtenstein the people can propose laws and enact laws. But the monarch gets to say if they are accepted or not.

In Switzerland people can enforce an optional referendum to challenge any law that passed the parliament. Also there are popular initiatives to write a new law into constitution. In both of them noone is above the people. So the only difference seems to me, that Liechtenstein has a Monarch with a veto, where Switzerland has the people with a veto.

In general Switzerland is a strongly federated state. So everything a county can handle is managed by it. When not they can pass sovereignity a level up to the canton. Same for the canton and only a very small part is then to organize by the national state.

Can it be that you make a hypothesis based on two democratic countries that are regularly involved with wars? The US, which has all military power within the hands of the President alone. And Israel, which has been under several destructive attacks from its neighbours.

Or you got other examples of democratic countries that inniciated a war to give evidence to your point?

I give a List of offensive wars auf authoritarian countries to dismantel your point:

Deutsches Kaiserreich WW 1 1914-1918

Faschistisches Nazireich WW 2 1939-1945

Chinese communist party against Peoples republic of China 1945-49

Southcorean war 1945-now

Afghanistan 1948-1949

Iraque 1949

Myanmar Burmese conflict

Russia to attack on chechnia 94-96

Yugoslavian wars

All kartel wars

I agree, that Firefox looses 90% of its funding, when Chromium and Google are separated.

Would it be any different for Chromium though?

And it is not as if there would be others. It is currently Gecko engine or chromiums Blink engine, that support all major Operatingsystems. And with Tor-Browser and its Fork Mullvad-Browser based on Firefox, this gives the highest privacy and anonymity credibility when choosing between the two engines.

What good would it bring to the internet, when Firefox would loose all users and funding? What exactly is the goal of such bashing articles?

Is it an urge to more investment into opensource development or is it as I see it a direct attack against Firefox and Free software in general?

When I understand you right, I totally agree. No matter who begins escalation. When there is a future of peace, this means at some point deescalation has to start.

People have to bring trust for no reason. Bring a nice gift to the biggest enemy, to only hope for peace. I believe really, that love is more powerful then hate.

How else could it be that there are more people living in peace than in war?

Do Nostr relays have similar terms of service to protect user information from the use to train LLM?

#premis #truth #critiqueme #asknostr

What do you think to my premise?

1. Every person is on a spectrum between effort-minimisation and freedom-maximalisation.

2. The closer a person comes to freedom-maximization the higher the impact on present and future reality.

3. When the above premises are true our future depends on freedom-maximizer, not on effort-minimizer.

Just started using iris.to on the desktop. Very strange how it is resolving quotes. Please fix this. #iris #bug

#asknostr someone knows the lead developer to tag?

Is this your phone in the top left? I mean the primary phone you use? 🤯💪

This is just a fact. (I assume the number is true)

Why should it be a different number? What would be the optimal number? And what would be good strategies to get there?
