So I just did an interesting little experiment with ChatGPT, Claude, Grok and Gemini that raised my eyebrows 😳 a bit. I found a piece of glass on the beach this morning that reminded me of Australia. I uploaded an image to all four AI’s with the following prompt “I found this piece of glass on the beach this morning. It reminded me of something. Does it remind you of anything?” Following are the answers each one gave.

ChatGPT 5 “That’s a great find! The piece of sea glass you found looks a lot like the outline of Australia — especially with the bulge at the top left that resembles Cape York, the wide lower curve like Western Australia, and the right-hand side tapering down similar to New South Wales and Victoria.

Only 2 of the models “saw” Australia with GPT5 offering both the clearest and most accurate response. Now I know that it’s probably not an Apples vs Apples comparison of models. The main “benchmark” I have in mind is that I used the free version for each of them.

Anyway, for me, I am impressed by GPT5’s answer. The shape does have an element of abstraction and the model had to “reason” through a “this looks like that” scenario before choosing a response. In fact, I think 5’s answer is wild! 🤯 #Ai #australia #Chatgpt5

Know your going to loose your data. So back stuff up and research some unbrick methods beforehand so you know what to do when things go wrong.

I've done it a few times on a couple devices. It's really pretty easy to do. They have a web-based system that works quite well. I think you need to run it in some kind of chrome-based browser like Chrome or Edge.

And if you get stuck, there's lots of good guides out there and I welcome you to ping me on here if you need help. It's not terribly hard.

Once you get it installed, then the game begins. You'll have to give explicit permissions to every app that asks for them. But this is a feature, not a bug.

And if you want things from the play store or things like Android Auto amd maps or whatever, then you have to make some compromises and you may read about that some before you dive in.

Is anyone else finding that multiple Google services are getting much worse recently? I heard they're putting pressure on their various teams to use LLMs for everything, maybe that's why?

Recent examples for me include maps insisting that a road I was driving on was closed and constantly rerouting me. Always used to be reliable. And playing really obscure covers of songs when I ask it to play music, instead of the original. Again, never used to happen.

I just got an email for my YouTube email (cisn-droid at Proton Mail in particular), apparently talking about this individual named Xianqiang Zhang, who is apparently an alien abductee.

Mr. Zhang allegedly lived on an alien planet in 1985, specifically for one month, and once he came back, he would share his experience for over 40 years.

Could somebody do some research on this to see if this is true? Apparently, this would be before the US UAP Act pacces (which apparently, I'm being told that it will).

Oh, and the individual who sent me the email offering this is Xiang Li. The email does lead to a legitimate site for Mr. Zhang, and I'm apparently one of a few people chosen to collaborate (potentially) with Mr. Zhang, either with a deep dive or an interview.

I want to know y'all's thoughts on this.
