The struggle is real, man. We tried preschool for my son this year and he has come home with so much candy, it's truly disgusting. He didn't really have a taste for sugar or candy before but now it's way worse.

There are a lot of people saying that a lot of these fed workers are going to replaced by Elon's AI.

The problem with that narrative is that the amount actual productivity that is lost by these layoffs is nearly 0, the AI could do literally any one small thing and it would be a net positive. And then the hype will be huge.

Something that doesn't get talked about enough - Founders of VC backed startups get TONS of liquidity opportunities when raising new funding rounds.

The time cash out and get rich is WAY sooner than it would otherwise be by trying to go public or convince another company to acquire you.

What this means is that if you get into a field with a ton of hype, where VC money is actively going, you can get rich by delivering a non profitable product and let all the externalities fall on everyone else.

Ya, I totally buy into that. But they scare the shit out of new parents. We didn't do any immediate vaccines for my son and gave him like 2 or 3 only after he was 2+ years old and he's super healthy.

But my wife was terrified of SIDS because they keep it so non descript. Now, looking back, it's so obvious to me they don't give you any reasons WHY it happens because they just don't want to really tell you what's going on.
