I'm the admin of multiple relays and I look at the relay global feed on #Jumble. You can go there https://jumble.social/ and select wss://theforest.nostr1.com π² from the drop-down list. That's what I look at.
I also have a local relay that pulls in notes over a whitelist, and I look at that. I relay-whitelist people, instead of event-following them.
My follows list is just free marketing for my friends' npubs, and a way to confirm my alts.
It's cleaner, I think, but nostr:npub1fjqqy4a93z5zsjwsfxqhc2764kvykfdyttvldkkkdera8dr78vhsmmleku would know.
Maybe a 10000 series replaceable is a happy medium.
This thread is still popping up in my notifications.
Entertaining to see the people recommending that I follow other people and engage more.
Mansplaining Nostr to me.

When Oma is your lunch lady and she serves roasted local chicken, with cucumber and radish salad, and liwanzen with applesauce for dessert, and the applesauce is from the apples she plucked from the backyard tree that morning, and you're supposed to be on a diet, but nevermind, because this must be Heaven and there is no dieting in Heaven, only cinnamon-sugar.
So, Mahlzeit! π€€

Mostly, we have a large extended family and are active in the local community and in church, so we just know lots of people with all sorts of jobs and hobbies, so the kids naturally sort of wandered around and stumbled upon stuff, and we helped them do more of whatever they were wanting to do.
Just expose them to stuff and they grab onto whatever they have a talent for.
I'm running into a timeout when trying to load this event in njump, it has a couple relay hints so not sure what could be wrong here https://njump.me/nevent1qvzqqqqqqypzp42ptgcn6wzxrlun4rqhp72pktx55e49eldmpy6qd9s0dje30pylqyg8wumn8ghj7mn0wd68ytnddakj7qgwwaehxw309ahx7uewd3hkctcqypa8rw60a9c88p8gjjrgmzytj4wga8asdcr906msfrcs03j966qcq4m45ug

Doesn't work, as an nevent or hex ID, either. Must be corrupted format, or something.
I've always been so subversive and edgy and rebellious, tho. This is totally cramping my style. π
Excellent point. Jesus also only needed the right 12.
12 is a good number.
"At least 38 killed in church attack in eastern DR Congo
The assault in Komanda city is believed to have been carried out by ADF rebels, wielding guns and machetes."

Slovenia is gorgeous. Vacationed there, a few times, near Bled.

I wrote about sitting in the steerage class and got a flood of responses, and it hasn't let up. I'm not complaining, but I'm like

I have no idea why so many people see my notes, now. It's very sudden.
Kind 1 enjoyers who don't see this poll:
What would you like to see on pollerama next?

It's so sad, how we have to provide the people with only Feudalism Polls with hyperlinks to Freedom Polls.
Hyperlinks are the Underground Railroad to Freedom Polls.
But Vitor said it's on the road map, so there is still hope, Nostr. π« One day, we can all be free.
Yeah, I love this place. Feels like living on permanent vacation, but it's the land my husband's forefathers have owned and occupied for hundreds (or thousands?) of years.
Kind of a wild thought, but I understand why they never left.
Yeah, it's an incredible time and energy suck. I'd show up at the office, already all stressed out.
This is my first day of Parenting Half-Freedom, where I don't have to wake up at 5:30 AM to drag and cajole a recalcitrant teenage school kid into their clothes and out of the door, two hours later.
Today is the day where I became a Morning Enjoyer and Home Office Enthusiast. I started off this new phase in life with a morning walk, in what passes for sunshine β in Bavaria, and then I tidied up the kitchen and swept the front step π§Ή, and enjoyed a cup of β and scrolled some Nostr, while listening to the soft rain β falling on the roof, and now I'm actually looking forward to working all day.
It is a GM.

I can only stand it once per week, or less.
Love the enthusiasm. The food was really good and seemed much more "Balkany" than the Italian-y stuff we saw downtown. And I'd been dying for a good steak.
We drove down there, for a day, from Triest. We liked Triest better than Pula because it wasn't so overrun by German tourists. Like us. π
The users aren't apathetic, the devs are.
I just like them cuz I'm a girl and chicks dig polls. Only thing even cooler than a poll is a quiz, which is why my onboarding wizard should help them pick a Nostr daily driver client, by asking them questions like:
1. "What is your favorite flower?"
2. "Do you stack sats, bits, or have a credit card with a running balance?"
3. "Have you heard of someone named Odell?"
4. "Do you want to hang with some friends on here, or shout out at the world?"
Me: Okay, your tax filing is sent out, all done. β
Oma: Yeah. Can't believe my retirement is so low and then they tax it. π
Me: Yeah, sucks. Oh, well. Doesn't really matter. We have Bitcoin. π
Oma: They were talking about that in the news! It just goes up and up and up. π€―
Me: Yup. π
Oma: But what does that mean? π€
Me: It means, Oma, that you will soon be one of the wealthiest people in town and your retirement income won't matter anymore. ππ»
Oma: That is a good thing. π
Me: Yes. Yes, it is. π«
A wonderful and blessed Mass βͺand church BBQ today, despite the β.

I came home singing and couldn't stop, even though I'm going hoarse, so here is something uplifting and classic, from yours truly:

And, as a bonus, a lovely instrumental of one of my favorite songs.

Zebaoth, not Zabaoth, sorry. Sang a typo. π
But you get the general idea.

Everything, including 30040 with 1111 replies, except Kind 01. Kind 01 gets Kind 01 replies. I only use them on the Events page, not in feeds.
Nah, NIP-7D. I sort of stumbled over it, looking for a different NIP and it solved by need for a public discussion thread that doesn't end up in the Kind 01 feed.
Was there, recently. I think this was where we had dinner. Was a nice change from the Italian food we'd spent all week eating.

We're trimming everything to be local-first, and getting LE Bluetooth going, but nostr:npub12262qa4uhw7u8gdwlgmntqtv7aye8vdcmvszkqwgs0zchel6mz7s6cgrkj suggested also going full Kafka on the other end of the spectrum and I'm like...

Hear me out:

It's that way with starting a business or a charity, as well.
Don't save Bitcoin up, for years and years, to start some endeavour, some day. It'll never happen. Hit the ground running, right this second. Just do it. Scrounge up the money, as you go along, or figure out how to get it started with no money.
Time+effort is more valuable than money. Money is only stored up time+effort, but efforts are always most-effective at _some particular time_.
You are having the idea for your endeavour at this particular time because the time for your endeavour is now.

Well, if you gain valuable resources or arable land or water/mining rights, or whatever, you could end up much wealthier.
Land isn't fungible, like money is, so gaining particular pieces of land can be worth fighting for, if it's an investment that might lead to more money (or security, which can lead to more money), later.
It's funny to me, how pedophiles and Neonazis and stuff come on here because they want to avoid censorship and I'm like, This is a logical argument for why your philosophy is wrong...
And they're like

You apparently have no idea of the amount of German civilians the Allies and Soviets knowingly raped and killed. It was an absolute slaughter.
They overran and leveled entire cities. Dresden was only one. Hiroshima only got the bomb, and not Berchtesgaden, because the Germans surrendered before the bomb was done being built.
And the original post-war game plan was the Morgenthau Plan, not the Marshall Plan.

No, Hamas is full of religious fanatics who convinced an entire region to sacrifice their children for a military adventure.
They're international political locusts and the Palestinians got hoodwinked into joining their fight to wipe Israel completely off the map and turn Palestine into a Sunni theocratic state. That is their own self-proclaimed political goal, and it is a goal that could completely destroy Palestine, but Hamas doesn't care. Hamas has never cared. Hamas does not want to be a good national government for Gaza; it wants to establish a worldwide Umma. Those are two opposing goals. You have to break some eggs, when making an Umma omelette and Palestine is the eggs.
Hamas has also never been the preferred government for a majority of Palestinians. The whole movement is astroturf, with Palestinians backing their efforts out of ethnic loyalty and political frustration at the lack of progress elsewhere. Everyone wants to be "keeping it real" and "sticking up for the homies", but their homies are _insane_. Like black people who defend gang bangers because they don't want to look like a sellout.
And you don't get to call it a genocide, if you start a war. Did the Germans get genocided by the Allies? No, THEY LOST AND GOT THEIR ASS KICKED.
Yeah, but look at the billions the West also has spent on Palestine. Germany, especially, was literally pouring money into Hamas for years, for humanitarian aid, and it was all siphoned off and spent on military.
Germany's development fund kept installing irrigation systems and water treatment facilities, on the same spot, over and over, and they'd quickly start failing. Took them years to realize that Hamas was crushing local agriculture and poisoning the drinking water with LITERAL SEWAGE, by digging up the canalisation to make pipe bombs out of it.
The Palestinians voted for those asswipes.
