Engagement on several topics. I love nostr as technology but I rarely interact here. Secondly, on Twitter I engage with other Belgians. Onmastdondon, there are soms. Here I intact with none.

I like nostr, the technology but truth is that for the moment I get little engagement here nor or there many Belgian users or anyone not into the Nostr/Bitcoin sphere. So I mainly use activitypub and sometimes Twitter. Can't wait for nostr:npub108pv4cg5ag52nq082kd5leu9ffrn2gdg6g4xdwatn73y36uzplmq9uyev6's ditto to have at least both worlds.

It does not have push notifications, if you want them fast the app needs to run all the time.
Agree. But the tech is interesting and it works well enough. It is easier to improve the UI than the core system. Like that you can self host as well.
I was too for 3 years. Mine was always pretty full but I do have 4 kids full-time so an empty fridge would be a problem... 🤷♂️

Signal is centralized and requires phone numbers. Whatever it is, it is NOT anonymous.
