Our rainy weather isn't truly a large amount of rain. The rain we are predicted to get over the next week totals just under 2", but for us, that is still really good. The plants love when we get a little regularly. So often they go a long time between rains. Once perennials are established, they normally do OK, but getting things established is tricky.
When I want to plant new perennials, it is very difficult. We go from below freezing, 60+ mph winds, and regular snowing to highs in the 80s & 90s sometimes in a week and definitely in less than a month. Sometimes we can alternate, so it is tricky to figure out when to plant things.
It could be worth trying to create a new strain. It might be a fluke and not work, but it seems like it could be worth the effort.
James O'Keefe Sued By Project Veritas https://www.zerohedge.com/political/james-okeefe-sued-project-veritas
Project Veritas is going to go by the wayside. I can't imagine many donors continuing to donate when the man who created Project Veritas was not only fired, but is also being harrassed.
Some ranchers next to my parent's property had a son in a one child schoolhouse. A NYT reporter decided to do an article on one room schoolhouses and was amazed to find a one student schoolhouse (not the only one in Wyoming). After the interview and article, the boy started getting letters from New York kids asking questions like "What do you do for P.E.?" City folk sure don't understand.
One funny fact: When he was 12 or 13 the ranch only had stick shift vehicles and the teacher didn't know how to drive a stick shift, so he would drive the teacher to a meet-up with other small schools for field trips. (Yes legally you have to be 16, but on middle of nowhere backroads, nobody is paying attention or even really cares.)
We normally don't get much rain and snow (about 12" a year), but this year has been amazing. We got 3 feet of snow in March. 2-3 weeks ago it rained for almost a week and we got about 3" of rain. It is supposed to rain for the next week+ with any where between 0.1" and 0.5" per day (hopefully a perfect drizzle like the last rainy period.
I just got a ton of things planted and I'm hoping this week of rain will get everything settled in nicely. I'm not used to this nice rainy situation. Normally we go weeks or even months without a drop.
University Of Colorado Declares Misgendering An "Act Of Violence" https://www.zerohedge.com/political/university-colorado-declares-misgendering-act-violence
Why is looting stores and burning stuff considered peaceful protesting, but misgendering is considered an act of violence? Can these people get any more illogical?
Weeded 3 beds, planted 3 apple trees, 3 elderberry plants, 10 asparagus, and a bunch of seeds. My sons used my new woodchipper to chip enough mulch to mulch the apple trees. I am wiped out, but I got everything done, so I am ready for the coming week of rain.
If it produces seed or can be otherwise replicated, it could be a sales opportunity if you produce a cold hardy calla lily, especially one as beautiful as that one.
Wow! I've got some garlic growing, but that is a nice haul!
I got 102 raspberry plants in the ground and I didn't get all of them I was given planted. I think I've gotten enough and I'm going to try to give away the rest. By the time I was done, I was worn out and getting eaten alive by mosquitos, so I didn't get a picture. I'll try to get a picture tomorrow.

We need to redo our retaining wall along the small river we are on. I was wanting to do something like that to plant some water loving plants. It is a balance, though. In the winter the river is very low and in the Spring the river can rise 2-3 feet or even more. I'd have to make sure it always stayed above the high water mark. Post more information as you figure things out.
I'm always checking out good night time teas that help you sleep. They normally have chamomile and other stuff.
That is my big problem with Iris. Otherwise it works better for me than any other client. All of the others I've tried have big problems I can't figure out.
Snort looks good, but it wont' let me like or comment on anything, so it is hard to be social.
64% Of Americans Don't Work-Out At All https://www.zerohedge.com/medical/64-americans-dont-work-out-all
If that means they don't go to the gym, it doesn't mean much. If that means they sit on their butts all day and don't get any exercise, then that is bad.
Today, I worked in my yard the majority of the day and got more exercise that most gym rats, but I didn't "work out" at all. It was a double bonus because I got lots of sunlight (and therefore vitamin D).
Spent the day getting stuff done.
Finished digging the raspberry bed and waiting for my son to return with the raspberries. Got some weeding done (but not all I needed done). Moved my bunny kits into their new homes and weighed and sexed them (I think they were all female, but this is the first time I've ever sexed a bunny). I built a pseudo Johnson Su composter (with the help of my sons and husband and got it partially filled. My son did part of the filling while I was emptying our bunny droppings and threw in some sticks that I had intended to chip before adding, but I was worn out and didn't feel like digging the sticks out of the bunny droppings, so it will just take a bit longer to compost.
I was trying to run water out to automatically add a little moisture since we have such a dry climate, but I found a quality hose that was long enough, but the connector had ripped off and a short, cheap hose that barely reached the edge of the composter, but put stress on the timer. I've got to get a new hose and maybe a replacement end so it will reach better.
It was a very productive day, but I probably should have put on some sunscreen. Being out in the sun that long, this early in the season, is probably going to lead to a burn. It would be OK later in the season.
I even got some decluttering done inside.

I spent just short of an hour digging the grass out of a bed to plant some raspberries that a friend is giving me when she thins her bed. I need to dig about the same amount more before getting the raspberries tomorrow evening. I need to be smarter and do my digging in the cool of the morning and not the heat of the afternoon.
The good news is that my teenage son offered a half day of garden work, so he will be going to dig up the raspberries, bring them home, and help me plant them.

When they did the re-release (20 or 25 years? from the first one), a friend and I took the day off work and watched the original trilogy in the big theater all in one day. We watched the original then ate lunch. Then watched Empire Strikes Back and ate dinner. Then we watched return of the Jedi. It was fun, but it already made me feel old when a kid sitting next to me had never seen it because he was born after all 3 were out.
It was pretty cool. Although I had seen the Empire and Jedi in the theater, I had more recently seen all of them on a TV/VCR where the sides were cropped off. There was a whole lot going on that I'd forgotten about. We don't have that problem any more.
