Day 1 of ensuring I drink 100 oz (3L) of water per day. I finished the day's allotment before it was even dinner time, no problem.
One positive side effect: I felt full all day, so no desire for snacks. I suspect I may get a free caloric intake reduction at this rate.
Trigger warning!

A repost is someone spending their reputation to extend your reach.
A like is someone spending one second of their time to pat you on the head.
A zap is someone spending hard money to incentivize you to continue spending your time to provide value in a similar manner.
I suspect the spike was spambots and maybe Chinese users who later got cut off. Lightning stats are harder to fake.
There has been a bunch of interest in getting https://nostr.how translated into different languages.
So far, though, I've not found any i18n (translation) libraries I'm thrilled about for Next.js.
Does anyone have recommendations?
Weglot is an easy integration but ain't free.
Ubuntu. Old mouse was wired while new mouse is Bluetooth. Might be related to that.
If you aren't pursuing a career in academia, it usually doesn't make sense to get a Master's Degree in Computer Science. You'll learn more on the job than you will by staying in school, and few employers will care that you spent an extra 2 years in school.
Basically if you can pay someone for an hour of work with what would normally cost you 15 minutes to earn, it's a candidate for outsourcing.
A simple rule for deciding when to outsource a task:
Take your annual income and divide it by 8,000. If you can pay someone less than that per hour to take the task off your plate, outsourcing is sensible.
Who can I pay to evaluate my personal health situation and formulate a customized guide for my optimal diet, exercise, supplements, recovery protocols, etc so that I don't have to spend countless hours diving down biohacking rabbit holes?
Yes, wireguard is an order of magnitude faster than OpenVPN.
Yes IMO an insane dictator is probably the biggest threat because if they're backed into a corner they may not care about mutually assured destruction.
Mutually Assured Destruction game theory breaks down when you remove the assurance.
If my DIY gigabit VPN guide is too expensive and complicated for your tastes https://blog.lopp.net/how-to-protect-your-home-network-with-a-gigabit-vpn/

On the bright side, I recently read a reassuring post about why nuclear armageddon is unlikely.
Yes, the Russians have a lot of nukes. But the maintenance requirements to keep a massive stockpile on constant readiness are huge and Russia doesn't commit the resources necessary.
So, if Russia were to pop off, many if not most of their missiles would fail.
The Russian military knows this. They also know that the American military's missiles are well maintained. Nuclear war would not end well for Russia, and it's arguable that they don't even have the benefit of Mutually Assured Destruction.
Unfortunately the days of using pseudonyms in meatspace are numbered.
It won't be long before non-trivial numbers of individuals and businesses have augmented reality HUDs that incorporate real-time facial recognition. Hiding behind a pseudonym will become a distant dream.
