Damus or Gossip
Is there a gossip build for Mac, or do you have to do it from source?
Well you know you’re not a client but um 😜
I still need to play around with more for longer periods of time, but I keep gravitating back towards Damus. I think, though, that it’s more out of familiarity, which skews results for me.
Amethyst is fast for me, but maybe it's my selected relays...

Not tried Damus. Comparing Amethyst to web clients etc I've tried, Amethyst is superior.
For me was Amethyst until recently, after Plebstr added zaps I moved over to that.

Depends on the platform. Amethyst on android is fast and never crashed
I like Damus for the constant updates, UIX, innovation, but in terms of speed and smooth scrolling I think IRIS. But IRIS don’t have much features like Damus have. Is my own opinion!

Amethyst on Chromebook has been the best experience for me so far...

Plesbstr shines in some details.
Feels speedy. Don’t love the interface yet. It also seems to turn off some ios defaults like autocorrect fields?
It uses Flutter which fakes a lot of platform details because it does not use native elements. Small price to pay for compatibility on every platform with a single code base.

Snort on web is most responsive for me. Choosing the right relays has a huge impact too.

I haven't done a compare of the various clients. But here's a video of what it's like to use more-speech. It's pretty speedy as far as getting, browsing, and displaying events.

Amethyst for the majority of the world running Android.
My favorite nostr interface tbh.
Damus on my desktop and mobile
Coracle.social is the cleanest and most intuitive. Simple but not bland and loads threads amazingly with no awkward locks or having to click back. Afaik its just #[0] working on it. Very responsive and even tyoing this out on a ohone via web browser I can follow entirely what has been typed. It is the best hands down even if it is still (like all tbh) a work in progress. Also as you like light mode for day there is a simple toggle switch on the main screen lol.

I've tried different. Amethyst is the gold standard in terms of functionality for the mobile. But a really creepy logo for me, which is always in the center of the screen at the top. The plebster looks much nicer, but it's a bit damp in functionality. I don't see much difference on the desktop. I prefer separate applications to browser-based and I use iris - it has good speed and minimalistic design.
I like Damus so far but wish it was on Android too. One bug Damus has is that boost and zaps are shown wrong until I press the note and open them

On Android Amethyst and Iris been snappier than the any of the other clients I've used.
Iris is my main nostr client.
I think #nostr needs more UI/UX designers to improve the overall experience. 👾

Jack, We need to have a back button . It should maintain the state and we should be able to go back to the previous screen . I find it very difficult to navigate in all Nostr clients .
