I think the sexist note is the best approach there is. Yes, there video is full of misleading information, and they are not hard to argue against... 80 square whatever... Is it a lot, is it a little? Will most of the electricity be used and turned into heat anyway? Very likely. Can they go ahead and change the code? Of course, Bitcoin is open source and consensus based. All that and more can be said, but no one will listen.

I don't know if it means very much at all, because we crossed that bridge a long time ago. When we used physical tokens for #currency we only used energy once, but ever since we've had electronic payments, we've had this problem, long before bitcoin.
I remember seeing some arithmetic once showing that the biggest issues are exchanges, that run 24/7. It doesn't matter if they're #trading #BTC or #stocks, they're still wasting resources.
So in a sense this is a problem, but it's much older than #crypto
