A friend’s dad is a Cardiologist. He’s a pretty big deal in those circles, with people coming to train with him from all over the world. He has eaten a jar of dill pickles every day for lunch for more than 30 years.

Save the jar. Even better are making your own. So easy, and takes very little time. Just buy or grow cucumbers, and add red pepper, or garlic, or just salt & pepper. 1000x better, and you’ll drink the brine.

yeah kinda weird how filling they are. Pickle juice helped me a lot to finish my first 14 day fast after being stuck at 10 for a few attempts. I thought it was just the electrolytes, but you probably aren't terribly short on electrolytes during a calorie restriction diet, so... maybe pickles are special. maybe it's the explosion of flavor

Drink an electrolyte drink. I’ve found it’s very helpful for appetite control. LMNT is ok but my personal favorite is Salt of the Earth. Plus, you can purchase it with lightning BTC. Definitely don’t get one that has a bunch of vitamins in them (you’ll see that some OTC electrolytes like liquid IV have a bunch of shit in them that you don’t need). Let your body guide what you need. I’d start with at least one packet a day but you may find that 1 to 3 per day on a cut like that will help a lot.

Just make sure if you’re doing that to get 1g of protein per lb of body weight. Also you don’t really want to lose more than 1% of bw per week in order to preserve muscle. Also make sure you’re lifting if you’re cutting as well. Godspeed it sucks lol

I've never been on a diet. Just don't eat like a pig.

For example for lunch you should eat 1 slice of pizza not 4. Most people seem to eat 3 or 4 slices of pizza during lunch.

500 kcal deficit per day (3500 kcal deficit per week ) == ~1 pound weight loss per week.

That's a very aggressive calorie restriction. You'll lose weight fast but it's going to be miserable and it'll eat away at a lot of your muscle too.
