Energy levels seem to drop way too much after going for walks. Not sure if I should just start napping or is there any other ways to go about it πŸ€”

Don’t really want to consume caffeine either, because of the heart palpitation issues I’ve had because of consuming it in the past

You'll probably adjust to it quickly.

Try a smoothie? Protein snack?

Why so serious?

Am I?

πŸ˜‰

🫡🏻

Maybe πŸ€”πŸ€” Just trying to not feel that lethargic or drowsy.

Caffeine helps, but it also causes heart palpitations, so it’s a risk I’m not willing to take really πŸ’œ

Yeah I get the caffeine thing, I'm on one morning cup only. Otherwise it makes me go a bit πŸ«¨πŸ«¨πŸ«¨πŸ˜΅πŸ˜΅πŸ˜΅πŸ˜΅β€πŸ’«πŸ˜΅β€πŸ’«πŸ˜΅β€πŸ’«πŸ˜΅πŸ˜΅πŸ«¨πŸ«¨πŸ«¨

But I think it is probably a solution for most people. Do you eat before/after walking? Porridge is meant to be good for slow release enegery/energy levels for eg

Caffeine before walking triggers adrenaline which is muscle preservation to burn fat as a reaction, then eat works for me.

Mainvolume coming in with the science.

I have no clue tbh, I find riding a bike to be more my thing. Really wakes me up.

Do you have good footwear? With arch support if needed?

Do you have hayfever lol? 🀧 Tis the season to be sneezy

Had a morning cup of coffee and some porridge today actually before going on a walk πŸ€”

Then digesting instead of burning works great when bulking of into the jock of the sunshine institute experience.

Eat better, move more, sleep more. πŸ€™

Yeah πŸ’œ

Have you been ill recently?

Not at all πŸ€”

Maybe look at your diet and make sure you’re absorbing enough nutrients . Tired after walking seems to suggest maybe lacking something ?

Definitely so, just curious what I’m lacking exactly πŸ€”

It’s easy on here to listen to many opinions. Best to have someone take your individual case and tailor it to suit you. Your overall health is specific to you and includes a proper history

Worth it, also regular walking, a good diet and good rest away from all devices is very important

Even hydration has a big impact, make sure you drink plenty of fluids

Yeah true, not consuming enough water throughout the day is definitely something I have to address more πŸ’œ

Is this a new thing for you?

I’ve started walking a lot more lately and sleeping more (also fixed my sleeping schedule), so if anything, the energy levels should be going up πŸ€”

Sounds like you're doing all the right things so I hope you turn the corner soon.

You could be lacking in iron bro I use to get that now I take an iron supplements I feel great after a walk just a thought maybe I'm wrong.

Eat food! Protein!🐢🐾🫑

Will do πŸ’œπŸ’œ

I avoid eating protein before or during exercise unless it's an endurance event (think all day, not a casual walk). Protein takes more energy to break down and will compete for such resources leading to one feeling more tired.

Those things can be so difficult to determine per person. My experience is to try different things and see what works for youπŸ€”

A couple things that worked wonders for me:

- Quit vegan to eat steak daily, my body and cognition feel much better. And lots of eggs!

- Cold showers, great for confidence, emotions, dissociation and good for your muscles!

- Daily cardio, walking or biking for >30 mins, get the blood flowing to your 🧠

- Quit sugar and coffee, those both mess up your actual energy levels and how energetic you feel.

Would love to hear what does work for you? 😊

Going to take a cold shower now, and get back to you πŸ‘

πŸ™ŒπŸ’ͺ

And? πŸ‘€

Decreased the temperature step-by-step, feeling much better πŸ‘πŸ‘

Glad to hear! πŸ’œ There's hard science on cold showers and cold plunges if it interests you. Personally I have never heard of anyone that didn't find it beneficial. πŸ€”

These are great suggestions. More protein and rebalancing your other macros is huge for energy and body processing everything well.

Quit the following things:

- processed carbs

- refined sugar

- processed food

- seed oils

Start these:

- eat half an ounce of liver daily

- eat steak daily

- eat eggs

- do every day at least 30 minutes of exercise

- get enough sunlight

- get enough protein

I concur with this πŸ‘† 🫑

Refined sugar and sees oils are shitcoins

Dehydration, especially if walking in the sun, will make one tired. Try taking some water along and consider adding electrolytes.

What do you usually consume for electrolytes? πŸ€”

Depends on how long I'm going and the sun intensity. If more than 90 minutes I'll take some tailwind, which is also sugar carbs. If you're acclimating, then three things you may need are magnesium, sodium, potassium.

Drink water πŸ’§

Yeah, true that. Feels like I’m indefinitely lacking water πŸ˜†πŸ’œ

Hahahaha ❀️ you should just have a water bottle on you at all times

Oh a 100%. I often times do have it, but I postpone the refilling part 🀣

Hahaha then you and me both πŸ˜…πŸ˜‚

seems like you have blood pressure issues? not due to the walks’ reaction, but the coffee’s, which may be causing the walks’ issues somehow. have you checked it out? any congenital heart issues? I ask you cause I have both and it used to happen the same here (with both walks and coffee). now I’m clean.

Haven’t been told that by a doctor so far to have any πŸ€”

It happens regardless, not dependant on caffeine consumption

yup, regardless, but always with caffeine. it’s a strong signal. check it out 🀝

Have you had your heart palpitations adequately checked out? Like how much caffeine were you having before they would happen? You seem pretty young just want to make sure there’s no underlying issue.

I’ve had them at the most random times, and I often go like a month without anything, and then I get like sharp chest pains. Mostly for like a couple minutes, and then it’s lingering on for a bit later πŸ’œ

I highly recommend you get it checked out. Try to keep a journal of every time it happens, circumstances around when it happens, and how long it lasts. Some heart rhythm issues are able to self correct and just need to be monitored and some are warning signs of serious issues. But you won’t know which is which until you get it checked out. If it’s intermittent push for like an event monitor so they’re definitely able to capture what’s happening.

Eat, sleep, walk , REPEAT πŸ’ͺ You can do it!

Thank you so much buddy πŸ’œπŸ’œ
