CCP has blocked Damus on Apple Store in china region,But we still can install Amethyst apk
on Android phone or change to other region in apple store to install Damus, or use web client. But I'm not sure CCP will block the relay servers in future.

I was thinking about this earlier. No way they allow Nostr, they surely block relays as fast as they are put online?
Maybe “proxy caching relay”? we can make them secret, if they dont store data, but only work as middleman resending data to public central relays. In that case somebody trustworthy can have list of 1000 relays and distribute them to people in china in that way everybody know just part of them. If CCP get some subset of proxy relays others still works…

I thinking about posibility integrate relay into mobile client, so it can work as P2P, syncing notes between “mobile relays” and send them to outside relays and download when they are available and download notes from requested persons. It's not online with whole world, but i think meybe it's way to smuggle batch of messagech over boarder in phone. Do you think its reasonable?

its good but too many people using WoS starts to create a centralized choke point; more people need to run their own LN Nodes and/or use other wallets.

WoS on mobile is so easy and quick. I spend most of my Nostr time on PC where Getalby is great and I find it even faster.
The power of centralised services, but that is a double edge sword. There will be a whole group of people who were on-boarded to bitcoin using other -custodial LN service on Bluewallet, who won't have their bitcoin come 30 April 23.
Users are being asked to withdraw their funds. They don't have a responsibility of providing you a service forever
Thus the double edge, no responsibility means not maintaining channel balances to allow withdrawal, not giving sufficient warning by at first stopping deposits, and thus not considering the implications of offering a service like this in the first place. Best to avoiding situations like this by focusing on how to decentralise LN services.
That may not have channel balance all the time. But, if they allow you to withdraw your balance within a few days, it should be cool
You can't demand a certain quality of service from a provider. If you don't like it, don't use it
Self custody is important. However, onboarding new users should be a bigger priority. Most people literally struggle to get hold of some sats ⚡ even if they're willing to pay for it
Fair enough, I can see why you would think that, and so do a lot of others, however I disagree. If self custody is difficult, then the solution is better protocols, improved UX, and more informative education; not using the crutch of centralised custodial services, which will ultimately lead to failure. This is why we have Bitcoin in the first place.
Yes, new tools with better UI will be required. Why can't custodial solutions be a part of the landscape while new tools are getting built?

Yes I don't like that it is not self custody, but every other thing about it is pretty sweet.
I don't keep enough on lightning to really have to worry about anything happening to it so the custody aspect is relatively a non issue for me at this point in time.
I agree that #[1] is one of if not the most user friendly wallets.
My experience as well. Worked with a couple of friends. I found onboard first, self custody second better in terms of getting takers.
Takes longer but is worth the effort IMO. Baby steps

Very impressive. Email seed redemption is also smartly implemented. Makes differentiation of address <> invoicing intuitive for newbs. Best Lightning UX so far imho
I linked Muun to Damus, & sent 500 sats to experiment w/ Zaps!
When I went to ‘Zap’ someone I was told I needed 1000sats for some reason or other.
I walk away from Zapping for awhile.
Using Alby's browser plugin from desktop is a seamless experience too.

The telegram lightning, bolt on, no pun intended, allows you to use your handle as address, but t&c's say you're effectively donating sats to tg 🥺

Unfortunately no open source. So not for me.
Unfortunately the app is stuck during the generation of a lightning address. Also the login dialog simply disappears after hitting the login button and nothing happens.
Yeah crazy fast, had to move funds from bluewallet after the news. I got the received notification in WoS on my iphone literally at the second i clicked the send button.

By the way I just read that BlueWallet is shutting down its lightning node on April 30th and they recommend to move asap any funds you might have to a different lighting of your choice. More details here:

Except for wallet of satoshi, i was unable to get a LN Address from other wallets. My own lightning node (umbrel) has a similar address with @ in the middle, but that does not work with nostr. Maybe because my umbrel goes via TOR network.
Hopefully umbrel lightning node will be upgraded soon to support zaps. Because I am not s fan of using centralized custodial solutions. Not even for such small purposes as zaps. Because eventually all such small things are little seeds that ALWAYS grow into full fiat usurping everything.
