Sad when coworkers know me as the Bitcoin guy and try to explain how they or their spouse is also a “crypto” person, and it quickly becomes apparent what they really mean is they’re a degenerate gambler pissing away the family’s wealth on leveraged day trading of shitcoins. No, there’s already a BIP for a quantum resistant address soft fork. The main reason there isn’t much action on it yet is the signature size would balloon massively, thus crushing transaction throughput from thousands of transactions per block to only a handful.
People would prefer to wait until either there’s an imminent quantum threat or we discover/research a more compact quantum resistant signature.

How will your family HOLD your Bitcoin when you die? Collaborative multisig can give very high confidence that your family can do a one time recovery, but no one in my family is willing to maintain that setup long term if I die. I currently have no solution for that. Does a KYC option like Anchorwatch(at least still self sovereign) or even an Onramp (fully custodial but custody split between 3 institutions in different countries) become the best of tough options?

Of course to each their own, but I’m surprised I don’t see more folks mention dogs. If I was publicly well known I’d have at least one Belgian Malinois that went everywhere with the family and I for sure.
I’m a big believer in the amount isn’t as important as the timing. If you have a large amount of caffeine all before say 8am, it’s fine. But if you have the same caffeine right before bed it could be a big problem.
