I think it's a good indicator to draw the line that separates the fact of demanding human integrity (physical and mental) from the fact of treating people as objects or tools.
I'm of those from the side of the spectrum that truly don't care about people at all. However, in this state, I can recognize that humans are not objects and don't combine well with the law of supply and demand. Once you treat a human as an object or a tool, that human becomes a slave and you are transgressing his/her freedom.
That's why I'm starting to treat human beings at least with respect. I don't really care about any human in particular but I recognize they aren't tools, therefore, they have their own dignity
Yeah. Imagine that combined with web of trust. I could see new people posting and not just the loudest of us here. That would greatly extend my opportunity to meet new people and if I really like what they post, I could see their whole stack of posts and maybe follow them
Maybe they're exploiting the fact that governments and certain corporations want to constantly control the economy and average people always want to fit in society. A recipe for massive disaster.
Fortunately, people are becoming more stupid over time and the consequences of it can't be really predicted or controlled

I see it like when the USA government treats some countries as drug hells. They say that but they take a generous slice of that business AND from shitting over those countries indiscriminately. I see all of these cases as a matter of incentives.
Maybe generalization comes with some hidden reward for doing it

A few months ago I reached the conclusion that humility is not a state of mind but a reaction to the situations that deserve it.
You don't really know how much humility you have until there's a situation that truly requires your humility, doesn't matter how much you say you're humble today.
