Yeah, as far as I know. This issue goes back before the relays were separated out into the outbox model as well. It's an irritant, but only a minor one, usually.
Is that possible on Amethyst? Even, preferably, just flat out not loading images from people you don't follow would help.
Unfortunately for whatever reason the only way to update my personal feed on Amethyst is to switch it to global, let events load then switch back to follows. It's been this way for months now.
To be blunt, if you want a global feed filled with CSAM there's something wrong with you.

Trying a top down renaming of sats to Bitcoin is an attack on the network.
Do they provide filtering in the same way that content hosts like nostr.build do? Because if they don't, then it makes no difference.
It involved kids and it's not something anyone should be subjected to seeing. Or knowing about. Be very careful on global. First time this has happened on my global feed but it's enough that I'm ready to walk away unless something is done.
It's a necessary burden, just like the burden on the guys running nostr.build. If relay operators are happy to host links to content like this then I'm out of here.
Someone running a relay that I'm connected to through Amethyst is hosting a note, or notes, which link to this content.
I'd recommend relay operators find some way to mitigate this, or use your skills to help law enforcement track down the offenders. You might not be hosting the content but if you're making it available by sharing links to it then you share the same level of responsibility as people running services like nostr.build to ensure it's kept out.

Then the standard of living for those shrinking generations will continue to fall. It's a damned shame. The thing is, economics are only a part of what is happening. There are health related issues which are probably more important. Low T levels, for a start. Cultural changes too. It's not a good course we're on, so rather than people complaining they're poor, it'd be better for the sake of humanity if they made more babies.
Again though, we have our own challenges. If we don't rise to meet them, we'll die out. Perhaps it's the fate we deserve.
My grandparents have none of our modern luxuries, worked a small patch of land to grow food for the family to eat, worked hard. Different times, different challenges, but they did have mortgages and taxes. Taxes are eternal.
