And the relentless coopting of what was meant to be counterculture and anti establishment. I wanted to jump off the boat straight into the propellers every time they played CCR.
Amen, hardest cup of the day.
Its like a utilitarian argument for ignoring the factual reality. Even if you think its necessary, that doesn't make it any less theft.
In consolidation with the slaves who must toil, the masters will be taking the day off to observe.
I'm inclined to say he was always a cheater, but you present a humorous take here.
Any nostriches claiming this?
Whale Alert has reported a massive Bitcoin lump of 10,000 BTC was shovelled into a brand new wallet with no registered owner

Just withdrawing my monthly DCA, no cause for alarm.
This seems like a lost cause if I'm going to be honest, bitcoin is still too speculative in pricing, nostr is still too small, and hodlers with bitcoin have tighter purse strings than goblins with gold. I think what we need are more goods and services priced in bitcoin to support a native economy, hopefully civkit will support that. Once there's a better marketplace for goods, people will flow in to buy services they'd normally pay cash for, and adjacent services like content creators will see higher numbers. That said, I have always felt like most content creators are really chasing a unicorn, and that its only possible for so many to exist under fiat; I fantasize about making a living giving my opinions, but my opinions aren't worth my living expenses. Pay me a little bitcoin over lightning to come powerwash your driveway and we might be in business.
If that's what you are looking for, I like Keith knights; something close to 'if its wrong to commit violence, then its no less wrong to gather a majority of people to vote for a designated person to commit violence'.
Falsely? We trained, armed, and funded the creation of ISIS to fight Assad, drawing us into a third war in Iraq when ISIS went rogue. We provided air support to extremists who overthrew the government and turned it into a failed state. We funded and armed the Taliban in Afghanistan to fight the Russians during the cold war, leaving their country tattered. We puppeted Iran into an Islamic revolution. These aren't false accusations, and neither is it to say that the US manipulated the overthrow of Ukraine's government, and then openly invited them into NATO prompting the Russian invasion, which we followed up with openly expressing our intent to bleed Russia dry.
If its out of 5, probably 3, all that's really left is actually imprisoning a political opponent and hyper inflation.
And remember, the government gets hacked all the time.
Actually I don't think the military benefits from closed source, they already use hardware devices for key management to anything sensitive, and they really shouldn't be using anything that can be hacked without the keys anyways.
Yea I mean at least the US empire has been productive for Goldman Sachs and Lockheed Martin. Can't Russia see that their security interests aren't as important as the US dollar hegemony?
Cuban missile crisis? Never heard of it.
Slack does a decent job at the display for that, maybe use a similar way but group things like green checks/happy faces/thumbs up vs red x/frowns/thumbs down/puke. That said, I feel like 1 positive emoji and 1 negative emoji is a more clean model, but I'm a bit of a square.
That's interesting, why don't damus users just do that? Is this about getting visibility to the average user?
Microsoft conducting a new round of layoffs
The only realistic solution is android or Linux, I don't see how legislation could be considered "realistic".

> Constitutional adherent & #libertarian.
I think your going to have to choose one. The Constitution and the State it has created or allowed violates the non aggression principle. Aren't they mutually exclusive?
I'm inclined to agree, I have a sense that things would have been better under the articles of confederation if they had played out, or maybe even less than that. The constitution seems to be responsible for opening the door to federal income taxes, a federal mint, a federal military etc. Remember that the bill of rights was a compromise the anti federalists got, and its never had any serious legal power, no punishments were outlined for its violation.
Interesting, so amehtyst doesn't do that for you now?
Pixel 7 pro
Only complaint with the device itself is that once in a while it's hard to reach all the way across the phone when doing things one handed 😅
OS is great, but for security reasons it's important to stick with the stock keyboard. Emoji selection is weak & autocorrect is buggy & unusable IMO. Not a problem in Telegram and many apps or websites that have their own emojis & spellcheck. Would love for Amethyst to add a basic spellcheck nostr:npub1gcxzte5zlkncx26j68ez60fzkvtkm9e0vrwdcvsjakxf9mu9qewqlfnj5z
It's a fair complaint, but amethyst already has an issue with typing over the selected word rather than cursor location (at least for me), I'd be worried about layering spellcheck over the top of that. I've gotten so used to the graphene spellcheck that I don't think about it, but you are right, that is a UI issue that would annoy most users.
I think storage hasn't scaled at the speed we all thought, but its fast enough to edge out block chain growth. In time hopefully it will be easy and common enough to run a full node inside of a wallet app.
Funny, but damn there isn't an escape even in death, they'll punish your great grandchild for offing yourself.
What about using a user configurable script that can be kept up to date from a repo? Like, I can subscribe to a bothunter list, if I ever feel like I'm not getting the right content then I can toggle that list off.
Yea I mean I'm not sure the exact context of these profiles, I don't think I'd willingly admit I was laid off, thats for sure.
No one wants to hire a whiner, I wouldnt, but then I wouldn't be hiring those people anyways.
Sometimes I wish games still did this.
But yes, don't use your phone, your desktop will throttle as necessary and can take the load. It won't be profitable for your electric bill though.
If you click the options at the top left of cashu you will see a redeem tab, it wasn't working for me before but I have been able to withdraw these to WoS pretty reliably recently.
Maybe an option to send a private reply with cashu? A client can automatically scrape these comments and keep it in its own wallet. That way, users that don't have a lightning wallet can still collect zaps, and convert them when they are ready. If nostr were to grow beyond the bitcoin crowd than this would help new users not feel pressured, and they won't receive random DMs with tokens they don't know how to use.
This is like the very definition of "enforcing your way out of a bad policy", I think the switch is an amazing console, but it should be obvious people want to buy their games on steam and play with a nice graphics cards on a 4k monitor.
I am inclined to agree, its frustrating to see my client (amethyst) simply not be configured to accept notes in a format that other clients push.
That said, this kind of competition is probably pushing the developers harder than anything. In the long term it would be nice to see clients that don't require constant updates, right now this might be the best thing for us.
