GM, GN, and GFY.

I didn't know buy now, pay later payments can be made using credit cards.

Hahahahahaha fuuuuuuuck bro

I had no idea until I hopped on Nostr. In fact, this sort of experience has been increasing for me. There's hardly any friction here unlike all the shit coming out of legacy media. The nuggets I need are buried in so much shit that I just avoid it all now. My carefully curated feed gives me most of what I want and need these days.

The Trezor scam emails are absolutely ripping.

Maybe people will visit the failed American empire hundreds of years from now

Nah brah. It buys wine points that can age like your beautiful wines. And those wine points can later be swapped for wine, fiat, or Bitcoin, minus a small percentage of the wine points. Totally legal. Trust me, I'm not a lawyer.

Rock solid idea. Would not be a lie for me either. I only use Graphene and GNU/Linux. BSD curious though.

I'm not an attorney, but I don't think sets any precedent at least. Someone else can still fight certain legal assumptions and win the next time it happens (as far as I understand law, which isn't much). And I assume precedent can be challenged on some basis in the future regardless. Either way, it is disappointing.

That's what I'd hoped too. But it never really is "we" in matters like this, even if we feel that way. Ultimately, it is their lives and legal process. I hope they at least got off easier. Otherwise the entire thing was a waste of time and money. I understand that many people donated to their defense thinking they'd play it out, but expecting anything in return isn't fair. I get the disappointment though. I wanted to see the state explicitly lose. Because pleas like this usually just allow the state to walk away clean at our expense AND with the ability to do it all over again to someone else.

Lol For real. It's a lot easier since I set limits even in our household. I manage all the tech, but my wife doesn't get to be picky about what I manage. She really isn't anyway, so this was an easy deal. We have the same devices and operating systems so it's easier for me to manage it all. It's worked quite nicely. Password managers for that end so she has them.

I went through this some years back. People still ask occasionally.

"Matt, didn't you study IT?"

"Nope. Computer science is different."

"Oh."

Works every time lol

I recently had to draw a line at work. I'm paid for my medical skills, not the IT ones. Call IT. Same goes for average people. Hit the tubes, bud.

Lol Just got back from the southern US. Isn't that bad up here, but certainly felt nice.

Costco is cool.

Don't buy Safety 1st if you care about your family. Multiple components failed in multiple ways before we went on vacation. We came back to find that others had failed just sitting untouched. Ethics are almost nonexistent now. Ship ship ship at all costs. Fuck it, who cares if it's safety critical. Cheap and fast. Doesn't even need to work. Fuck your kids. Fuck your pets. Fuck you.

The Scientist is pretty good. But even that was done better by Willie Nelson lol

Automotive engineers should be required to take a punch to the face for every sensor on a vehicle. And if it's due to government meddling, the political assholes responsible should take the hits.

Most things I buy from Amazon these days must be linked from a manufacturer website. There's simply too much fake or scammy shit going on there now. And I'm more often ordering direct or getting things from more reliable stores. Unfortunately, many retailers now allow similar 3rd party bullshit on their websites. It's all just a bunch of end stage fiat stuff. Investigating it would probably be fruitless (sadly) since it's such an integrated part of our world now.

Too much is hardly definable from what I've seen. And most municipalities use varying levels in water. I couldn't find a universal dosing standard last I checked. It seemed like they just noticed it was good when absorbed by teeth and concluded that it should be thrown into drinking water, testing be damned. Open to being corrected.

We are entering a reality where people are getting auto loans that outlive the actual vehicles. Cooked lol

Uploading media on Nostr is such a pain.

Let's party like it's 2008.

Bitcoin fiat price isn't everything, but I think it's still relevant and worth watching to some degree. Although, I am leaning more toward watching the price in gold terms, so maybe I'm contradicting myself.

I think I'm becoming an Android widget maxi. Unfortunately, many apps either don't have them or offer super limited options.

No. You're imposing your worldview onto everyone if this is your conclusion. I save in Bitcoin and spend it where I can. I think fiat, force, and coercion are immoral. I'm a radical capitalist. I'm not an anarchist.

I believe in a voluntarily funded, Constitutionally defined state that exists to defend property rights and mediate disputes when appropriate. It wouldn't do much else. But I'm not an anarchist.

I don't think you're stupid for it. You honored your commitment, regardless of all the bullshit that probably led up to you making it.

See you guys back at 109k tomorrow. It was fun.

I grew up impoverished. I developed an instinct for dealing with that, and I still have it. I don't know how else to describe it, but I can feel when things aren't right (or worse than usual since nothing is ever right in the fiat world). This instinct, sense, whatever you want to call it, always pushes me tighten up on spending and push harder on earning. Fortunately, this just makes me wealthier now. It used to be awful when I didn't understand economics and the world I live in. I was poor then. I was also broke. I never fucking want to be poor or broke again. This feeling I have is uncomfortable as hell, but I'm sort of thankful for it now. It's saved me and my family from what would be a lot more pain if I was out buying boats, houses, phones, and all the other shit people around me are buying

I don't know where I was going with this. Anyone else know what I'm talking about?

Copper?

I don't really care about the waste water side, but there is probably longevity concern. Plus you don't have to worry so much when installing cabinets and goofy shit like that. I've seen cabinet screws cause leaks in plastic pipes. Good times. I'd rather have metal too. I want the bulk of spending to go to the really important stuff (plumbing, electrical, etc). Everything else comes last for me. Might mean a smaller house, which is fine.
