Cline is incredible. CSS can be fun.

I stumbled upon an eink optimized launcher a while back and started using it on the nostr:npub1a00wj229auzjswlq4s77y4u8eqdx5k9ppatgl8rtv8va65f6mwksum9q3h for a while but I missed several features.
So I took the seemingly abandoned code base and vibed some features into it that I wanted.
Let me present you: Burrowed Launcher.
https://github.com/hermeticvm/BurrowedLauncher
It’s still WIP but it might be useful for you if you prefer minimalistic launchers, especially if you have an eink device.
Let me know what you think. Should be installable via Obtainium right away. I might have to touch the bundle name so I’ll not publish on Zapstore at this stage.
Cline is now building a simple Python script to create a composite of multiple screenshots of another vibe coded app I forked off from someone else because the original project was abandoned.
This still feels like magick. I haven’t even spent half the money I threw at Moonshot in more than 3 1/2 weeks of vibing my ass off.
It's at least down to 8/9 lives by now but who's counting. 🌚
And another one:
https://github.com/circumspace/linkahest/releases/tag/v0.3.3
Linkahest can now strip most commonly used link tracking parameters from links you share.
It’ll still offer replacing the link with selfhosted alternatives for X/Reddit/Youtube but will also let you cleanup all other links.
Let me know how it works for you.
Updates are live for Obtainium and Zapstore, of course.
Send me some links with marketing/telemetry and other annoying tracking bullshit please.
I'm brewing something. 🥘
Shipped a new release of my Linkahest app: https://github.com/circumspace/linkahest/releases/tag/v0.3.2
Just some cosmetic improvements for eink displays and dark mode.
Updates via Obtainium and Zapstore are available now.
Farmers, buy one of these and a real quality butter and place them outside for 24h and let’s see if animals even bother with the Artificial Gates Butter.
Brrrr.

Who would want to cross .NET and Ruby on Rails? 🙃

nostr:npub17n4cuc4d6y6qh89dekvxrenfkt5s0n49xns00uavjaxpr36c55dq87fyh9 Getting lots of these when trying to zap either on mobile or desktop. NWC is setup and works with all other apps. Any idea?

I don't care if nostr ever grows big. I hope it'll enable as many people as possible to escape the "look into an orb for an eye scan before publishing anything" future we're headed to but if it comes down to it, I'm here for the weird people.
I don't care if you're a whatever maximalist, who you fuck, if you only eat meat or if you're raw vegan. If you're on nostr, you care about freedom. Of speech, of gathering, of letting other people do their stuff.
To me, that's all that counts. Stay weird, people.
Would really love to see some real sun instead of this haze covered orb.
Not looking into a blue light display at night is exactly the reason why I’m reading my books on that Daylight Computer. I can just read until I notice I ged tired and then instantly fall asleep. Never happened with my Kindle or Android tablets I read with previously.
I could opt for printed books and use an incadescent reading lamp or something but then I couldn’t read out of print books that only live on archive.org, my expenses would go way up and I couldn’t just send lengthy texts I encounter throughout the day to the device for later reading (or discarding, since some it turns out to crap).
I don’t necessarily want to do all my work outside. I prefer being on a bicycle, gardening or just walking outside for the fun of it. But a device that doesn’t screw with my circadian rhythm and is perfectly legible outside? Not gonna skip that, especially since it makes it so much easier to just read more. Before it was more of a chore, now it’s just fun.

Spent a nice evening with some nostr:npub1a00wj229auzjswlq4s77y4u8eqdx5k9ppatgl8rtv8va65f6mwksum9q3h users, talked about bikepacking, using computers in a more sane way and got to know some interesting people.
Made it home from Amsterdam just around 0:00 yesterday for crazy train/bus/tram ride of 5 1/2 hours that usually takes around 3:30h by train.
Deutsche Bahn is completely decrepit. Really wondering how long it’ll take until other transport companies start to publicly shame them for the abysmal maintenance and infrastructure decay that’s been going on there for the last few decades. Don’t see how they’ll ever recover from this without half a decade of major investments - and we all know that won’t happen.
nah ...
i was just outside trimming some trees in the backyard but i like to use my tech inside with the blinds closed and in a dark a room as possible
in fact i prefer backlit keyboards because they allow me to keep my room light lower but unfortunately the best feeling keyboards aren't always available with backlight
it wasn't even the feeling though but the sound. i have an RGB keyboard that feels good but is fairly loud even though it has tons of sound deadening in it ( from the factory ). they simply wanted it to feel crisp so they refused to damp keys directly and only damped the chassis.
by contrast my main keyboard ( NIZ plum ) is described as feeling like marshmallow and is much quieter but doesn't have backlighting forcing me to keep lights on in the room.
which is a little silly because even my wireless mouse has RGB lighting so why not keyboard which is WIRED.
in fact my Asus RGB keyboard is WIRELESS so it's just that exotic feeling keyboards don't really target gamers which is why they don't have lighting and it's a shame because you get more drawn into what's on the screen when the room is darker.
my setup goals are 8K screen as big as possible ( 85" or bigger ), as bright as possible ( 4,000 nits or better ), and in a room as dark as possible with only enough light for me to avoid tripping over my shoes on the floor.
"daylight computing" = NO GO from me
if you're in Amsterdam you probably know what a bicycle is. go to a mountain trail with a mountain bike - that's what daylight is for. not for computers.

I prefer not to irridiate myself with even more blue light that fucks with my circadian rhythm so this thing was a godsent. These displays and devices make that possible, though they come with some disadvantages like lower contrast, no color, etc. I mainly use mine to read but knowing that I can just attach a keyboard and push some markdown file down a git drain, do some writing or very light coding while sitting under the sun without worrying about glare, reflections and or insufficient display backlight is fantastic. Don’t judge what you don’t know.
I’ve had my share of proper bike rides around Amsterdam. Yesterday I decided against bringing mine for logistical reasons. I’d be surprised if you spent more times on bicycles than me. 🙃

No idea what to expect. 🌞

Must be interesting when they meet in the laundry room.
My ex has been putting cooked eggs into a asian spiced sauce for a few weeks and I've been throwing them in my Ramen. Delicious.
Not sure I'll ever like to eat uncooked egg though. Taste and smell are really something.
Want to see what it's doing to my body, if it helps building some muscle and if it tastes great enough to have this every other month.
Was delicious. No comparison to any vegan recreation I've tried over the years.
True, true. Veganism helped me a lot in losing weight and conscious consumption though.

First meat in ~8 years.

> The aim? To unravel the mysteries of an organ whose functioning remains, for the most part, still enigmatic.
I'm sure it has nothing to do with mindcontrol.
My off-site backup of my server congested the uplink. A few more minutes. 😂
Touched some grass today. Meditated, did some sungazing and read on my nostr:nprofile1qqswhhhf99z77pfg80s2c00z27rusxn2tzss7450n34krkwa2yadhtgpzemhxue69uhkzafwwfjkcctev93xcefwdaexwqgdwaehxw309ahx7uewd3hkcn2jlrw.

They will own nothing and won't be happy. 😔
It is 2025.
My old Gnome was replaced by a sexy Omarchy hyprland desktop by modifying and running a single install script from DHH.
I installed Doom The Dark Ages on a Linux desktop and it worked without having to fiddle with anything.
What is happening.
I love the idea of NixOS but I just can't get my head around it. Wouldn't hate on it for a second though.
systemd (and containers) made me stick with Linux or I would've specialized on BSD instead.
Already reading. (Though I read many books in parallel.)

Not yet, haven't even pushed it upstream yet. I'm surprised it even worked because it was vibed into existence by mistake - was still honing in on the prompt. Will keep on working on it.
"growth hacking" and fear of Grok.
Get people who normally wouldn't sign up to try their AIs to inflate active user statistics and hope they won't just stick with Grok.
Even if you only have a Raspberry Pi at home, you owe it to yourself to run Tailscale (or a selfhostable alternative, if you're up to it). It's just so calming to know that you'll always be able to connect to any of your systems.
Running syncthing to keep your devices in sync but you depend on dreadful self-signed certificates for transport security? Tailscale just sets up wireguard tunnels between each of your devices.
The ingress controller or loadbalancer of your homelab isn't responding? As long as it's not your uplink/ISP, Tailscale will make sure you can reach your stuff.
I think that thing is actually quite useful for everyone.
They don't hang out with plebs and beggars. People who aren't already in that club have nothing to offer to them.
