I hope the King Cove road approval is for real this time. They've been trying to get that road build for 30 years. A lot of money was wasted on that stupid hovercraft.

It was growing in a 15' tall green house, up to the peak. I had to prune it heavily every year. Last weekend, I cut it back to about 7' and transplanted it outside. I can send you 2-3' tall shoots off the root. You'd have to root them yourself.

It's a Norland grafted onto rootstock. I have no idea what the rootstock is. These shoots are from below the graft.

I am way too cheap for those. They are 6X the price of normal gas cans by the time you ship them to Alaska.

Can you make beneficial use of the heat produced? It will never pencil out otherwise.

I did a 3 mile hike with a 25lb pack yesterday. It felt good. I need to work up to 5 miles and 60 lbs before the bear hunt next spring.

New gas cans are great for storage, not so great for dispensing. The easiest way I have found is to use a safety siphon. It's just a check valve and a clear hose. You put the valve in the gas and jiggle it to fill the hose, then it siphons. They come with a vinyl hose that gets stiff when it is cold. I replaced mine with a tygon hose which works much better.

Gas cans manufactured post ~2020 have an internal flame arrester baffle that interferes with doing this, but it's pretty easy to remove. Just don't do that on the can that you use to start bon fires ; )

C'mon, that's the easiest way to make a little extra money for bingo and Werther's.

Ok, I suppose that would mean putting up bird houses. If I put out bird food, they wouldn't need to eat slugs.

I just finished install 3" wide copper tape around 3 of my 4 outdoor garden beds. I'll see if this makes for any noticeable reduction in slugs next year. They were bad this past year.

It's amazing how tough kale is.

I have a bunch of shoots that came up from an exposed root of my apple tree. They would probably root if you dipped them in some rooting hormone.

I don't know what variety it is, but it survived in Alaska for 20 years, occasionally down to -20F.

You're welcome to them if you cover postage.

The first snow of the year is falling.

Maybe chop them down to 2'X4' and skin one side with plywood to make corn hole boards.

Or just cut them apart into boards and throw them in your board pile for future use.

You can pick where you live too.

Dude, stop trying to turn him into some kind of super spy.

1. It was more like a 150 yd shot. The news readers are just too lazy to pull it up on Google earth and measure.

2. That's a typically hunting distance. Typically hunters with typically equipment make 150 yd shots every day.

3. He missed his mark by ~6". A prudent person would aim for the chest. Someone who plays too many video games would aim for the head. Nobody aims for the neck.

Motive is what differentiates this nut job from the average man in the street, not means or opportunity.

That's because they don't know if you have a three wire receptacle (older houses) or a four wire receptacle (newer houses, reduces shock hazard in the event of an open neutral).

It's not soldered to give people the flexibly to remote mount the screen if they are using a custom case. There are some Antminer S9 looking cases out there that require this.

A dab of hot glue would hold it on during shipping, if you are worried about it.

How you gonna kill a deer with bitcoin?

In the US there are two different flavors of meshtastic. Unlicensed, you can use encryption and are limited to 1W ERP. Licensed, you can't use encryption, but you can use up to a 10W radio and however much antenna gain you want.

Why is it called pickleball and not whiffle tennis?
