I hope the King Cove road approval is for real this time. They've been trying to get that road build for 30 years. A lot of money was wasted on that stupid hovercraft.
I bet there are going to a record number of blanket presidental pardons issued in December 2028.
What does Google Keep do?
It was growing in a 15' tall green house, up to the peak. I had to prune it heavily every year. Last weekend, I cut it back to about 7' and transplanted it outside. I can send you 2-3' tall shoots off the root. You'd have to root them yourself.
It's a Norland grafted onto rootstock. I have no idea what the rootstock is. These shoots are from below the graft.
I bet some of those people are selling.
I am way too cheap for those. They are 6X the price of normal gas cans by the time you ship them to Alaska.
Hi all 👋,
I’ve been offered the chance to buy a small Bitcoin mining setup from a trusted friend, and I’d really appreciate your experienced eyes before making a decision.
The setup includes:
- 6 complete Bitmain AntMiner S9 units
- 2 additional modules reconfigured for liquid cooling
- Full infrastructure shown in a video (link below) covering ASICs, power layout, ventilation, and more
Context that matters:
- Location: Mexican Caribbean — where electricity is both very expensive and highly unstable
- The farm ran successfully for 2 years but has been idle for 4–5 years
- My friend is offering it for 20,000 MXN, which includes initial setup support and maintenance guidance
I’m still new to mining at this scale, so I’d love your input on:
👉 What should I look for in the video? (e.g., signs of wear, dust buildup, corrosion, cable quality?)
👉 Given today’s hashrate, difficulty, and BTC price — is this hardware even viable?
👉 With high electricity costs and grid instability, could this ever break even?
👉 Are liquid-cooled S9s a red flag or a clever hack?
👉 Any critical questions I should ask my friend before saying yes?

Grateful for any insights — whether you’re pro-mining, skeptical, or just been through something similar. Every perspective helps! ⚡️₿

Can you make beneficial use of the heat produced? It will never pencil out otherwise.
I did a 3 mile hike with a 25lb pack yesterday. It felt good. I need to work up to 5 miles and 60 lbs before the bear hunt next spring.
New gas cans are great for storage, not so great for dispensing. The easiest way I have found is to use a safety siphon. It's just a check valve and a clear hose. You put the valve in the gas and jiggle it to fill the hose, then it siphons. They come with a vinyl hose that gets stiff when it is cold. I replaced mine with a tygon hose which works much better.
Gas cans manufactured post ~2020 have an internal flame arrester baffle that interferes with doing this, but it's pretty easy to remove. Just don't do that on the can that you use to start bon fires ; )

C'mon, that's the easiest way to make a little extra money for bingo and Werther's.
I think you have to got longways with the way it is framed. Trex is supposed to be supported every 16".
Generator help. I took off the carburetor and tried to clean as best I could. Not to dirty. I was unable to get out the jet screw so just sprayed carb cleaner in there.
Generator runs rough, fully choked it dies, about three-quarter choke seems to run pretty good.
I tried to adjust the throttle forward and back with no luck .
Any ideas?
There’s a gas carb cleaner that you can pour in the tank. Does that work well?

I have never worked on that style generator before, but once I had an ATV that would only run at half choke. The gasket between the carb and the engine was bad. This let exess air into the engine.
Ok, I suppose that would mean putting up bird houses. If I put out bird food, they wouldn't need to eat slugs.
GM.
I just finished install 3" wide copper tape around 3 of my 4 outdoor garden beds. I'll see if this makes for any noticeable reduction in slugs next year. They were bad this past year.

It's amazing how tough kale is.
I have a bunch of shoots that came up from an exposed root of my apple tree. They would probably root if you dipped them in some rooting hormone.
I don't know what variety it is, but it survived in Alaska for 20 years, occasionally down to -20F.
You're welcome to them if you cover postage.
I did one one a ford ranger once. It was stupid simple.
That's a completely rational fear.

The first snow of the year is falling.
If you are using their premises to network with potential future customers, you're earning bitcoin from steak and shake.
Corn poop
Maybe chop them down to 2'X4' and skin one side with plywood to make corn hole boards.
Or just cut them apart into boards and throw them in your board pile for future use.
An aggregator can appear to have smaller hashrate than what's behind the scenes. This is useful for remote mining where connectivity might be less robsut. Small amount of data up and out. Biggest concern would be latency if you're too remote, but bandwidth is minimal.
What wireless comms protocols/bands have low latency and low bandwidth? #asknostr

New pipe. No ads, you can download videos and you can rip the audio as mp3s.
If all the nostriches got together and each chipped in $2, maybe we could buy a congress critter of our own.

You can pick where you live too.
Nice work. It'd be a shame to scrap a car with a full tank of gas and good tires. ; )
Dude, stop trying to turn him into some kind of super spy.
1. It was more like a 150 yd shot. The news readers are just too lazy to pull it up on Google earth and measure.
2. That's a typically hunting distance. Typically hunters with typically equipment make 150 yd shots every day.
3. He missed his mark by ~6". A prudent person would aim for the chest. Someone who plays too many video games would aim for the head. Nobody aims for the neck.
Motive is what differentiates this nut job from the average man in the street, not means or opportunity.
That's because they don't know if you have a three wire receptacle (older houses) or a four wire receptacle (newer houses, reduces shock hazard in the event of an open neutral).

The Elk's Club makes bank on that at the state fair. It's like roulette, but with a gerbil instead of a ball.
It's not soldered to give people the flexibly to remote mount the screen if they are using a custom case. There are some Antminer S9 looking cases out there that require this.
A dab of hot glue would hold it on during shipping, if you are worried about it.
Next time, fake a limp and pretend your putter is a cane.
In the US there are two different flavors of meshtastic. Unlicensed, you can use encryption and are limited to 1W ERP. Licensed, you can't use encryption, but you can use up to a 10W radio and however much antenna gain you want.
Why is it called pickleball and not whiffle tennis?
