Got dat bad endo flare up again. God bless my heating pad taco. Wish somebody would research a fucking cure already so I donโt have to lay in bed for dayyyyys.
Negative rant over.

What is that?
Endometriosis (uterus issues๐)
I believe there is a cure.
Well do share because Iโve done PT, pain injections, diet changes, surgery, and hormone therapy so far ๐
I do believe there is a way. I work with holistic methods. Getting to the root. There is trauma and stuck energy behind dis-ease. In Western medicine we like to name our dis-ease and own it. This keeps us sick. We heal by letting go. Perhaos, there is something you are holding onto that wants to be let go off.

And maybe this type of approach doesn't resonate with you. Just throwing it out there because that's what I do. I have seen many miracles. ๐คท
Yup. I was telling nostr:npub1nl8r463jkdtr0qu0k3dht03jt9t59cttk0j8gtxg9wea2russlnq2zf9d0 all about it because it can be very painful to do certain movements and Iโm trying to find a good yoga routine for when Iโm in a flare up so Iโm not just laying stiff. If nostr:npub1emv9nzykxsp3gxst7psavyzr4fauhcct69c8zqrengyg4d7gxcfqsnl7mx has heard anything or thinks something might be helpful, I am ALL ears๐ซ I recently did a reiki session for it, Iโm literally open to anything
Has it been something you have dealt with all your life?
No, actually got my first symptoms a few years ago, but apparently you can have it for a while and not know
Did Reiki help? I do that too. Curious.
Um I only had 1 session and it was really relaxing, but no substantial relief
Reiki can be helpful. And it can be useless or even harmful. There are a lot of variables. ๐ Just my POV
Like any tool, it depends on how you use it.
Exactly. I have seen "practitioners" that are super ego centered and draining people, wothoit even kmowimg it. And I have seen it work as a grest tool to help as well. Also is dependent upon the beliefs of the reciever. That's a tricky balance.
Iโve found since returning to Phoenix, Reiki clients here want more of a psychic reading than energy healing and all it entails. This was one of the things that discouraged me as a Reiki Master, so I shut down my space downtown. People have to want to genuinely do the work to work with me. I donโt fuck around. Healing is work, not a commodity or entertainment. If they want to fill time, there are plenty of sound healers and cacao ceremonies around town. ๐
I feel you. Its tricky on both ends. Many people don't know their real intentions be it the "healer" or the reciever. And without alignment and clear intentions we aren't going to make any healing happen. I work in the plant medicine space and it is super draining to work with people that don't know what they want.
I do have a great yoga nidra recording I think might help, with time and practice. Will try to DM you and get the file over!
I donโt know what your experience must feel like. But I am finally getting to the point in my life where my periods arenโt super painful anymore and I never used to think that was possible. The uterus holds so much memory and trauma so I hope some reprogramming can ease your symptoms
Every month is a crapshoot for me tbh ๐คทโโ๏ธ (when it comes to pain, never know what Iโm gonna get)
Yeah, mine used to be so rough. My yoga practice helped but I think more so it was reframing my relationship with the divine feminine and the earth. It might sound a little strange and esoteric to some but doing things like offering the blood back to the earth created this huge shift in my body. Iโd love to someday do more writing of what Iโm learning and help women improve their relationships with their bodies
I think deep dives into the divine feminine are ALWAYS welcome! Do write more about it!
Thank you so so much. Iโm gonna try it out today ๐ฅฐ๐ซ
It sounds the fucking worst I'm so sorry you have to deal with that.
Much love to yourself and nostr:nprofile1qqs9phjf9nl9guj9phc6q9m0makezh5hedwelrf7enhh6f0lp2y8rhspz4mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujucm0d9hx7uewd9hsz9thwden5te0gfjhvmewdehhxarjxyhxxmmdqyxhwumn8ghj7mn0wvhxcmmv2adrx8
Thank you. It can honestly be fucking debilitating some days and nostr:npub12r0yjt8723ey2r035qtklhmdj90f0j6an7xnan8005jl7z5gw80qat9qrx has to pick up the slack and takes good care of me. Iโm very lucky
He is a king among kings. I'm very thankful you have him!
My wife is gregnant and has a lot of pain at the moment as well and I do my best to help her where I can. I totally get it.
Yup. It sucks feeling like a burden, but luckily thereโs a lot of good men like puzzles and you who are so supportive

That's so dumb.
It's the food, IMO.
Puzzles and I have been tracking everything I eat and changing my diet accordingly. I do believe the fact that I had a lot of sugar last night contributes to the flare up, but even when Iโm perfectly following the anti-inflammatory diet, I still get flare ups.
Hmmm.... Have you had a full thyroid panel, including a T4?
Have you tried supplementing iodine? (I'm about to start this.)
Had the full thyroid panel last year and I have not tried iodine
I'd be more concerned with the dairy than the sugar.
tl;dr - Eating meat and fatty foods may lead to excess estrogen in the body, which can cause endometriosis pain to flare, while fiberโfound only in fruits, vegetables, grains, and beansโmay help reduce pain by flushing excess estrogen out of the body,โ says Hana Kahleova, MD, PhD, director of clinical research at the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine. โSeaweed may also help suppress estrogen levels.
https://organicvegansuperfoods.com/the-benefits-of-a-vegan-diet-for-women-with-endometriosis/
tl;dr - Common suggestions include increasing your intake of omega-3 fatty acids, reducing your intake of dairy and red meat, and eating more dark leafy greens and whole grains. Some women also find that eliminating gluten from their diet helps to reduce symptoms.
Studies have shown that egg consumption is associated with increased discomfort for women with endometriosis, and a high estrogen content in eggs may play a role in this.
The second link has a lot of information about the link between eggs and endo. Definitely worth a read and I'd be interested in more studies to see where the truth lies.
Yeah. I used to be a sugar whore and yeah last night I had some, but overall I have probably cut out 80% of the sugar in my diet. I donโt do dairy anyways, just eggs as a replacement for the soy I used to eat
Must have been vegan ice cream ๐ In that case I'd be learning more about the eggs and questioning the heck out of what your Endo doc told you..
Oh yeah ๐ last night was a rare thing, but I look at a lot of more experimental evidence in what other women with endo have tried (Iโm in a few groups)
I can imagine the dairy is why you're hurting today lol.
Also you can cut soy and still be vegan. I do Soylent because it costs less than any convenient food in my area and I like it. If I had money to shop and cook groceries regularly I would probably only eat tofu for soy intake. My main driver of Soylent is price-to-performance but I was vegan before trying Soylent.
It is actually metastatic deposits of non-cancerous tissue, specifically, the tissue responsible for menstruation and allowing embryos to implant. These metastases can happen anywhere, but mostly in the pelvis, sometimes abdomen, and less commonly pleura where monthly lung collapse is the key clinical finding.
I have a retroverted uterus, so mine grows on my bladder ๐ซ
Ugh. Itโs vexing to us in radiology because these things are flat and essentially invisible basically all the time on imaging. But super easy to see with your eyeballs if you look inside because of the color. Not that cutting everything out is some sort of panacea though.
Complex issue without easy answers. You have my sympathy.
As a curious thing to know, the lining of the fallopian tubes and the muscle of the uterine wall can also metastasize in a non-cancerous fashion like endometrial implants doโฆcalled endosalpingiosis and benign metastasizing uterine fibroids. I find it interesting that the organ responsible for permitting babies, something that the body would otherwise see as a parasite or something like an organ transplant, is also the tissue that sometimes shows up in unexpected places.
Yup. Unfortunately, they have to slice me open to find it ๐ didnโt show up on CT or ultrasound
Typical. Our main role is to make sure doctors think of endometriosis in the over-imaged patient or suggest the diagnosis if they unknowingly give a good history for it.
Yeah I had to self-advocate and refer to obgyn. Luckily I have a PPO.
Typically takes _years_ to get formal diagnosis.
There are a few uncommon but far from rare diseases out there that arenโt well known amongst physicians. Iโve seen people put on psychiatric meds for esophageal disorders that take 2 seconds to diagnose on fluoroscopic esophagram.
Yup. In that regard, Iโm lucky. I had a family history of a lot of endo so I was pretty sure thatโs what it was. My doctor disagreed because most of my pain is in my back, but then my OBGYN said it made sense given my uterus is flipped backwards ๐๐คทโโ๏ธ
Yes.
But why? Plastic? Poisonous food? Leftover synthetic birth control in the drinking water? Vaccines?
All of these correlate with a rise in endometriosis.
Thatโs exactly what they need to be researching, but itโs severely underfunded
Yes. That's all too true.
MIT just got $20M for Center for Gynecologic Research. Itโs a lot for one lab. But the more geniuses working on stuff, the higher the chance of learning stuff.
I pray those nerds figure it out ๐
Same. Doctors arenโt super helpful in this area.
These are all hypotheses people can pay to have investigated.
Honestly this is a tough situation. I agree that all of what you just said plays an important role. The best solution nostr:nprofile1qyghwumn8ghj7mn0wd68ytnhd9hx2tcpzpmhxue69uhk2tnwdaejumr0dshszythwden5te0dehhxarj9ekxzmny9uq35amnwvaz7tmjv4kxz7fwdehhxarjvd5x2cmt9ekk2tcpr9mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuumwdae8gtnnda3kjctv9uqsuamnwvaz7tmwdaejumr0dshsz8thwden5te0dehhxarj9e3xjarrda5kuetj9eek7cmfv9kz7qgswaehxw309ahx7um5wghx6mmd9uq3vamnwvaz7tm9v3jkutnwdaehgu3wd3skuep0qyd8wumn8ghj7un9d3shjtn8v46xzmrz0yhxxmmd9amrzqpqymt2j3n8tesrlr0yhaheem6yyqmmwrr7actslurw6annls6vnrcszahg88 is to remove yourself from the potential environmental factors completely.
Detox the body and reset the immune system. I have gone into this somewhat before, but i believe it was a TLDR situation for you, because there was no response. So I will summarize.
Step 1) Move out of so-cal. Find a farm deep out in nature with its own high quality water supply. Mountain spring water that is naturally alkaline is the best for the body.
Step 2) Go on the Gaps diet protocol. Follow it strictly. Detoxify the body by destroying the bad bacteria in your gut. Repopulate it with pro-biotics.
Step 3) Do your best to find a peaceful state of mind. Reduce your stress levels. Get recentered out in nature. Get lost in your artistic side. Rediscover your true self.
I knew someone personally who did this. She could not get pregnant for over a decade. Had constant ovarian cysts and painful menstral cycles. Once she did these steps the ovarian cysts stopped and menstral cycles were less painful. Her reproductive system healed itself. She finally got prengant and had a wonderful healthy baby when she was almost 40.
I know your condition is different, but I truly believe in my heart and soul this is what is required for you to become fully healed and start a family with nostr:nprofile1qyd8wumn8ghj7ctjwshxummnw3exvun9v94hxtnrdakj7qgwwaehxw309ahx7uewd3hkctcpzemhxue69uhhg6t8wvhxummnw3erztnrdakj7qgkwaehxw309a3x2an09ehx7um5wgcjucm0d5hsz9mhwden5te0wfjkccte9ehx7um5wghxyctwvshsz9thwden5te0wfjkccte9ejxzmt4wvhxjme0qyt8wumn8ghj7un9d3shjtnrda5kummn9e5k7tcpzemhxue69uhkg6t5w3hjuur4vgh8yetvv9uj7qg6waehxw309ashyapwdehhxarjveex2cttwvhxxmmd9uq3jamnwvaz7tmpv5h8qatjwpkx2un9d3shjtnrdakj7qpq2r0yjt8723ey2r035qtklhmdj90f0j6an7xnan8005jl7z5gw80q30r9qr
Yeah. Getting pregnant is the thing that helps most women, although with endo itโs much harder to do. Canโt move out of SoCal yet
Woa! I just looked this up ๐
Itโs pretty gnarly. Most men have no idea what it is, but itโs quite common in females
Have you cut out seed oils? My wife was diagnosed with it right before she cut out seed oils and now has zero symptoms. Not saying thatโs the only answer just that it worked for her
I was at MIT bitcoin conference this past weekend. While having dinner alone I randomly overheard an MIT biomedical engineer talking about endometriosis and research. Thereโs a theory that this starts in pediatric patients and these patients present as GI cases, because nobody is thinking endometriosis in kids.
Was this your experience?

Iโm a radiologist. I trained at a multi specialty private group practice with a worldwide reputation located in south east Minnesota (that is very picky about how its name gets used). So we donโt use the name that at first blush might make you think of a hamburger condiment.
