I would also like to know why. Suits don't seem very practical to me. I do understand that your outward appearance is important. ie. Face tattoos say something about the person. I think there's a healthy medium.

IMO it’s an over correction to not look like the legacy financial world. Nothing against suit wearing but in America if someone is wearing a suit in a business setting that’s dead giveaway we (bitcoiner) are probably not aligned.

i was thinking about getting a fine itialian suit and wearing it to the next meetup and then everyone would be like 'yo whats up with the suit?' and id say 'ive heard if you wear suits dank shit happens to you' and then everyone would want to talk to me and be my friend and id probably get halla more successful then im like 'nah fuck all that'.

Actually, I like a man who dresses casually on normal days and wears a suit only on important business days.
A lot of the really rich, powerful men in tech wear hoodies, like Mark Zuckerberg. It's become almost a "tell".
Always funny to see them take pictures in front of a group and everyone else is wearing business casual like polo shirts or a button-down, and they're agressively hoodying like that guy in the meme.
