#asknostr for all the nostr:npub1235tem4hfn34edqh8hxfja9amty73998f0eagnuu4zm423s9e8ksdg0ht5 users. What do you use to manage file storage via cloud. Looking for a third party app or app that connects to home server where I can access only my photos in a nice clean UI. Thanks.

injury at trampoline park with kids earlier today, when I forgot I wasn't their age and did dumb things

the throbbing rn is...noticeable

sorry whining a bit I guess 😅

could someone kindly relocate the bulldozer which is currently at rest atop my toes

k thanks bye

Imagine becoming familiar with how each one's starter sounds, slowly attuning the ear to the 'family resemblences' of the engines' purr. That alone is a form of wealth. Cool job.

guy who gets to drive them in and park them probably worst pay but has best job

it's weird, right? we had the 'five second rule' and 'just blow on it' and we were fine

something was **done**

No xrays but throbbing like mad, can't bend, can't but weight on them or put on my shoe 😂😂

Took the kids to a trampoline park.

Joined in--you know, because I'm fun.

Think I broke three toes. 😖

"Dispensationalism is a heckuva drug."

...and the cure is Paul's [Epistle to the Galatians](https://esv.org/Galatians+1).

Man, if I hear that phrase one more time (at church, no less) I may vomit

even better!

just learned the swipe gestures to More Easily Capitalize...Very Cool

many tips and tricks -- e.g., long-press backspace to clear an entire word

I tried packaging gossip a while back. Failed, but learned a bit. I confess that Claude ai was instrumental in my successful move to a flake-based home-manager setup. I learned 10x more that way than by scouring forums...

- made the move to home-manager on #NixOS last night

- got our solar-powered #meshtastic node mounted and ready for install (now to find a place for it)

- ate some burgers and chorizo

- he wanted 'his best life NOW'

Is your #meshtastic device set to the right role (and what's the difference, anyway)?

36 hours fasted. But...I guess it's not really #fasting if you're popping 2000 mg of Vitamin C every hour, huh?

Hardest part is over...might keep going...

Depends what you mean by 'reformed' - the 16th century Reformers sought to 'reform' (read: return) from the innovations and abberations of the Rome. So, in that sense, 'Reformed' is anachronistic.

However, some of the key doctrinal issues of the Reformation were well addressed in the much-earlier church in the debates (e.g.) between Augustine and Pelagius. The 16th century Reformers were returning to the Augustinian view, while Rome pushed a semi-Pelagian view. So, in that sense--the Reformation was a return to Augustinianism, a return to a more historic (and more importantly, scripturally-faithful) understanding of the gospel.

If you're a reader and interested, check out Matthew Barrett's _The Reformation as Return_ which is an excellent corrective (so far) to Brad S. Gregory's _Unintended Reformation_.

Was reading Mises' Human Action and came across this passage you might be interested in:

"Both principles of cognition—causality and teleology—are, owing to the limitations of human reason, imperfect and do not convey ultimate knowledge. Causality leads to a regressus in infinitum which reason can never exhaust. Teleology is found wanting as soon as the question is raised of what moves the prime mover. Either method stops short at an ultimate given which cannot be analyzed and interpreted. Reasoning and scientific inquiry can never bring full ease of mind, apodictic certainty, and perfect cognition of all things. He who seeks this must apply to faith and try to quiet his conscience by embracing a creed or a metaphysical doctrine."

This can either be interpreted as a humble *or* begrudging concession about the limitations of scientific inquiry 😂

😂

I remember that passage...this is what our 'revelational epistemology' provides: a transcendant and authoritative 'why'

I love the KJV...but the (repressed) Geneva #Bible is where it's at:

> When tyrants cannot prevail by deceit, they burst into open rage.

note on [Exodus 1:22](https://www.blueletterbible.org/geneva-study-bible/notes/exo/chapter-1)

100%. It's like the "least dirty shirt in the hamper" and I'm not willing to run my own email server with all the overhead that requires.

Yes, I remember that about the WEF'er too. I'd read an article about a year ago (maybe?) called "Proton's [FirstName] [LastName] Problem" that went into detail about her, and I haven't been able to find it anywhere ever since. Thought it was on Unlimited Hangout, but no idea.

The most surreal part about watching Back to the Future with my 11yo (on VidAngel) last night was Marty's mid-80s electric guitar thrash session: it was just as foreign to him as it was to the 1955 crowd.

"Why did he kick the speaker??"

"Why is he on the ground??"

mid-80s were fun but let's be honest, the pop/rock music scene was...pretty weird LOL

...that's a very interesting point. I think you're right.

Scripture is primarily 'the history of redemption' -- what great legths God has gone to to recover his lost and rebellious people back to himself. Whenever people try to abstract out 'the general moral principles' that are common to all religions, and which may be 'acceptable to all cultures' the actual message is deeply obscured.

After all, one of the chief purposes of the moral law is show us how far short we fall, and drive us to seek salvation in Christ alone by grace alone through faith alone.

It's not _primarily_ a rule book, but news--'good news of great joy for all the peoples.' As the fellows at the White Horse Inn like to say it, the law says DO! and the gospel says DONE!
