Depricating a catalog of your content has drawbacks, but I see your perspective. I would just opine that the perspective that holding secret information SECRET especially a mostly bitcoin crowd has its merits too and are not a mid-brain thought process as you alluded.

Do you understand how frost works? It doesn't change your Nsec. If it's already exposed that key is dead. Frost would simply make another key a verifiable to a hidden Nsec using a schnorr scheme. It's not some magic "Unexpose my key" button. But thanks for taking the time to try to meme me.

Wut? Having a signer to separate signatures from messages is not a midbrain take. Spinning up a new Nsec you are willing to lose would be fine. Do you relly want the nostr:nprofile1qqsqfjg4mth7uwp307nng3z2em3ep2pxnljczzezg8j7dhf58ha7ejgpzemhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuurjd9kkzmpwdejhgqgcwaehxw309ac8yetdd96k6tnswf5k6ctv9ehx2aqpr9mhxue69uhhxetwv35hgtnwdaekvmrpwfjjucm0d54df670 Nsec going into a novel app you haven't read or audited the code on?

Lol, you have a really fragile ego. Derek is one of the most helpful dudes on this protocol. He tests all kinds of clients and promotes new apps all of the time.

Muted (mentally, I'm not a bitch)

Yall MFs really gotta announce these shids a bit more in advance.

I was at an IRL Bitcoin meetup, I'll be back home in an hour and a half.

It's tough to keep the Xpriv from being scrapable but I have some interesting mitigations that hopefully stop these setbacks I've had.

I am working on a physical coin (with a circuitboard inside) That is like a reusable opendime without needing to plug it in. Purely NFC and QR. But on the outside looks like a 2" diameter coin.

I am locally focused mostly so meetups are my jam normally. Here's a following list for all of the ones I've found so far:

But I enjoyed BitBlockBoom very much in Dallas this year. I will be checking out TABConf7 this year in Atlanta, as well and let you know.

So, don’t see nostr:npub10hj9rg5gds5x2gk0z0s2jlqnq04jg7g30aj2t5pqzdaaztfactgsnze5ny but not sure that is a meetup, and can’t find a tag for #nostr ville.

This is specifically Bitcoin focused meetups. But, keep looking! I want to get as many Bitcoin meetups on the following list as possible.

Yeah, it's a brutal position. It's no real consolation but the idea is they are hoping you have a child. It reminds me of when a woman is going through something and tells her husband, because men like to fix things he suggests actions to take instead of just holding her and listening to her. I do this all the time with my wife. She tells me how she feels, I say "why don't you do [such-and-such] solution." And she just gets more upset. I love her and I am coming from a place of love but, that's not what she needs.

By pressure you mean saying "try anyway" or something like that?

As far as IVF there are moral considerations because of the multiple acts of conception that are "discarded" which to an anti-abortion person creates a quandry.

1. Advocate for having babies.

Or

2. Advocate agaibst discarding fertilized embryos.

It's definitely a difficult position.

The only thing is the octave multiple of bits. Make sure that there's a way to covert bytes to a binary that allows hex encoding. Simply, if the range is only 1-8 there needs to be a way to double to put it into hex.

I don't think that mindset is as common as you might think. Women I know hear things like "I don't want to be a baby factory" or "So what, you let a parasite grow inside of you."

This causes a lot of resentment toward women who think having children is a waste or whatever. Never have I heard "I am unable to have a child" met with anything but sympathy from women I know. It is only people who use "parasite" language who respond with cheers or shaming for even trying.

Interesting. I just wonder if the fees go up before a sidechain or altcoin comes in as the "silver" to Bitcoin's "gold" historically when transactions got too expensive another asset emerged. So either the fees go up nominally with usage demand or another coin becomes a secondary transactive unit and asset.

"Need" is a big word but banks help create the the structure that connects local commerce to regional and global markets. It's totally possible in the absence of banks but the functions are much harder to do by individuals.

I don't want to get into a big thing here but cashu cannot use anything but layer 2 because the system is a credit function (Layer 3).

Layer 1- Asset

Layer 2- coupon/"currency"

Layer 3- credit

Cashu uses a minting function which is necessarily a credit based system. Holding asset and issuing a coupon redeemable for the asset is not how cashu is designed because of the asyncronous transactions. Cashu holds a coupon and issues outstanding credit against that.

Property is real...I don't know what you are getting from what I write. If I am forced (by the government) to allow my hotel to be used for housing being bribed or shutdown, that is forced association.

Also it isn't at all clear to me that "public property" should have no rules (because if it were private property it certainly would). If they do exist and enforce rules they should do so fairly to the extent that it does least harm. If public resources are being used on those native to the public property versus for those foreign to it, that seems less harmful and appropriate.

The second paragraph is not in aggregate, true. Much like it is incentivized by the government to be a leech than a productive person (gives them more control) there is an incentive to have people who are constantly fearful of being arrested to have a compliant group that are easily controlled. (Why democrats tend to want immigrants) OR a cheaper exploitable working class (why republicans tend to want immigrants). Either way deportation is a neutralizing act that orders a procedure for association.

AGAIN, I wish that everyone could freely associate and live in a place without a gang controlling them.

I am not advocating for deportation or intervention. I am making the point that the cultural sentiment that foreigners are being disruptive to the cultural milieu is not hypocritical to embracing foreign cultural assimilations. This is an EQ thing not a logical deduction.

I would say in an anarchist world ICE is stupid, publicly owned borders are stupid, and welfare and socialized medicine is stupid. We don't live in that world however, so I would say I would hope the gangs do the least bad thing.

The USG gang should abolish themselves but short of that stop allowing people to invade other people's property.

The MS13 should abolish themselves but short of that, stop invading other people's property.

The bloods and crips should abolish themselves but short of that stop violating other people's property.

See the pattern here?

Forced association and forced disassociation are not equal evils. The isolationist position is preferable to the invasionists position because the isolationists are only hurting their productivity. Whereas invasionists hurt others productivity. AGAIN I would rather the gangs all abolish themselves first and foremost.

I don't like gangs, I am an anarchist. I am against all of that shit. I am just being pithy because when people conflate cultural assimilation with social disruption it rubs me wrong. There's an obvious difference between a German national bringing sausages to the American continent and Mexican/ Salvadoran nationals bringing blood fueds and gang violence. (Which seems to be the impetus for the "fuck the foreigners" sentiment) I'm not an autist about culture which most libertarians and an-caps seem to be.

No, it implies that the established order allows assimilation of disparate cultures but not incongruent ones. But, I guess we are doing the indians we peaceful forest hippies that europeans slaughtered for no good reason, thing.

Doesn't this put more strain on the hosting servers? I mean what kind of storage is necessary for thousands of MP4s?

Yeah, it's sad seeing something leave you after years of use and statistically, a place you almost died several times.

Strangely last night I had a dream that I walked by you and just said "hi" and you waved and nothing else. I don't dream of many people so it stuck me that a person I only met once just popped in to say hi.

I have, I take contrarian positions all of the time and people can be.... Let's say, passionate. I commiserate, I truly do. Threats have never materialized in real life just like when people say things they would never dare say to your face.

Regardless, the moral person acts irrespective to threats. Also, I truly hope you wouldn't wish something you find so distressing on someone else. Perhaps just a turn of phrase to highlight the need for empathy, which I have for the core devs. I would just like the same courtesy for a dissenting opinion.

The core dev ire has nothing to do with the changes, it has everything to do with their response to descent. To speak to people with valid criticism with derision is what make people call Core devs "shills" or "dumb" or whatever. You can see how someone pointing out a conflict of interest is a valid criticism, right?

To be clear some of it is mindless inflooencer "Fuck Core" drivel. But that's commonplace in social media. nostr:nprofile1qqsgdp0taan9xwxadyc79nxl8svanu895yr8eyv0ytnss8p9tru047qpz3mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuerpd46hxtnfduq3samnwvaz7tmwdaehgu3wwdc8ymmkdahhxapwdekqzrthwden5te0dehhxtnvdakqm9jn0c going on about the customer/service provider dynamic differing from open source project is a red herring.

The analogy would be people Open-sourcing a physical vault design. Then the major supplier introducing a vulnerability and saying "you don't pay us so you don't get a say in what vulnerabilities we introduce." While yeah, you can't be forved, speech is speech and the point is if you have a logical rebuttal people will side with you. But, what does a mass exodus tell you? That your counterpoints are not compelling.

Either way, if you bring more freedom to Core, I say join them and make core greater!
