I'm a physicist and I would be very surprised to ever see aliens given the emptyness of space surrounding us.
If there are any aliens that come to visit us they must be way more advanced than our civilisation and would probably remain entirely beyond our comprehension.

When i was a kid i went to the MD Science Center and one of the exhibits was speculating what other lifeforms would have to look like based on differences in gravity, or vacuum of space, different atmospheres and pressure. Even a bipod form would very likely have much different characteristics. Low gravity environs would make for very brittle endoskeletons over time. Id believe in #spaceslugs long before poor paper mache projects of ET

If I had to play out evolution a billion times on a billion planets I would think most winners of the evolution race would be the largest animals. Also I would assume if they evolved on a planet similar to outs with a denser oxygen rich atmosphere they could be much larger than our largest dinosaurs were or even evolved in an environment like our oceans .aking them even larger.

I really enjoyed the alien in the book Project Hail Mary - very different from a humanoid and I thought the author did well in making it realistic yet very different from us. I hope they do a good job with the upcoming movie.
