ā€˜Carbs and sugar are bad’ is a complete psyop

I am the most lean and jacked I’ve been in 4 years eating tons of fruit, juice, honey, sourdough, skimmed raw milk, well cooked veggies, and lean-ish meat

Yes. šŸ™Œ I feel great with some hard boiled eggs, watermelon and a glass of raw milk in the summer. No need to eat another living creature at every single meal…

But eating another living creature is the best part!

Excellent meal. Totally relates to the season you’re in and eating locally as well šŸ¤™šŸ¤˜

I’m not pounding sugar and fruit in the dead of winter when there’s snow on the ground

All my food is dead before I eat it.

(This is a joke.)

Literally this. The obesity epidemic is 100% because of the seed oils. Humans ate tons of sugar prior to seed oils and were all relatively ripped and lean

Maybe in the 20th century, but not hundreds of thousands of years ago. But keep up the journey.

10-12k years ago you mean*

Tons is relative. Humans ate whatever they had near them. For a short time we live in an age of abundant, ultra processed, empty calories which has resulted in the obesity we see today

Do you think there is a difference between cane sugar and HFCS? Agree with the seed oils, not sure if HFCS is a contributing factor.

Fructose is fructose

Copy that šŸ‘ŠšŸ¤™

What TB said. I personally for no other reason than processing stick with unprocessed sugars

šŸ˜‚

Yeah we Bitcoiners tend to be a bit hyperbolic on the food subject. But I’ll hear some reasonable comments like this too. I can’t imagine going through life and declining various cuisines that make life interesting.

That’s where I’ve settled on. Ray #Peatstr talks about this too

Is it a complete psy op to say that just carnivore is better though? I’ve been on carnivore for at least a year and I think it’s great

I understand people’s body react to different things differently etc. and I’ve genuinely found complete commitment to beef and lamb to be unmatched

Sugar always ruins my concentration and steadiness etc

Veg can be fine!

Carnivore is great, but long term it has its own set of side effects.

One fun thing to try would be keep doing carnivore except for right before, during, and after your workout where you consume a sugar in some form and see how your workout goes and how you feel after.

Also depends on the season. In Ireland I’m not sure how long you can get vitamin d for during the year but that plays a role in sugar intake as well

Ireland has 2 seasons - July and winter šŸ˜‚ if that answers your vitamin D question šŸ˜‚

Yes I’ve read people feeling lethargic during workouts such as Paul Saladino and Joe R. Both recommending what you said there.

I may try it, I’m not against it. I’m not a carnivore maxi, it just had a great impact on my life.

What are the long term negative effects of carnivore if you don’t mind elaborating?

YOLO! Being open to experimenting with diet has been great for me.

As far as long term effects from Carnivore: depletion in certain vitamins and minerals, cortisol maxxing which results in accelerated aging, hair loss, etc. from your body having to constantly be converting protein to energy

I’m not a carnivore hater either by any means. I think it’s an excellent diet, just not something I would do for an extended period of time

Interesting and noted šŸ¤

This is exactly how I eat. Keto all the time except healthy carbs before and after a workout, which is every 2 days. Works great for me, I'm approaching 50 and feel like my health and fitness just continue to improve.

Everyone has to do what they feel best doing. I do worry about a disconnect for most people when eating majority animals. Have you ever hunted your own animal or been part of the butchering process?

And yeah too much sugar does interfere with concentration… it’s hard to know what the balance is

No never hunted and that’s the plan. Most of us are disabled from sourcing our food. Most urban people don’t t have the land to grow plants so even then your dependent on a regulated industry.

No and no

Id elaborate more on a reply but I’m unsure why it matters… I do live in Ireland though and the food quality here is quite high… if that’s connected to your point

Yeah i do great on carnivore. And or strict keto. Feeeeeels great man.

Yes. I use to have digestive issues and I no longer do. The bitcoin carnivore community has had the best impact on my life bar bitcoin itself.

I’m not a carnivore maxi though, as in if you can eat other foods, feel good and look well then you’ll be fine

The biggest killer of people nowadays is stress and anxiety. Whether it’s day to day or long term. Carnivore brings immediate benefits to my life and its effects are self evident. People live to 90 on spuds, steak, beef, bread, butter, whiskey and Guinness where I’m from, they have a carefree attitude living a traditional life

My family also suffer from gluten intolerance. We can eat it but suffer later. Beef and lamb fixes this. I could probably eat veg and rice and if I have to for some reason on occasion then I do

I’m on the same page with you exactly.

This diet helps me eat clean and removes interest in junk. When I go off the diet, I tend to gradually then suddenly increase my intake of junk. It happens at a subconscious level.. because consciously.. I am aware that I do not want to eat it, I am aware that it’s bad for me. But my inner urge, or my subconscious completely ignores that and then before you know it. I am shoving my mouth with something that makes me feel like crap EVERY time šŸ˜‚

Yep

Completely get it. More important than all, don’t sweat the small stuff like that

Once you’re eating mostly red meat, you’ll be fine

Pretty much!

Now if I can start working on taking a break on coffee.. ā˜•ļø šŸ˜‚

Coffee is a hard one to break but I’ve done it

It’s been replaced with tea but tea is so much more manageable

I low-key think coffee is bad for you just because of how good it is šŸ˜‚ I’m insanely productive on it

It definitely messes me up with cortisol levels, and electrolytes. I thooooroughly enjoy it though. With a nice fat spoonfull of HWC. Yum

Why skimmed milk ?

So we get our milk raw from a herd share. Full fat with the cream and everything. We drink a lot of milk and I think I was putting on the pounds with all the cream I was consuming.

nostr:nprofile1qqsr26r4lltjnvrwadxp67ns58m4qpzaqemhf5sup7hlujhjh7t296qprpmhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuumwdae8gtnnda3kjctvqy8hwumn8ghj7mn0wd68ytnddaks9juf20 put me on to skimming milk at home and using the cream for other stuff so I have been doing that for a while now and making ghee out of the cream!

šŸ¤

Between milk and buttermilk we go through 4 gallons a week šŸ˜…

Mammary Maxi!

šŸ˜®ā€šŸ’ØšŸ˜®ā€šŸ’ØšŸ˜®ā€šŸ’Ø

We go through about 4 here as well.

🫔🫔

I’ve been working out 5 months and still can’t get rid of all the belly fat so I had to be honest with myself and look at the 2-3 gallons of raw milk I was drinking per week….I miss it.

^this. Exactly. I think a lot of us were duped into thinking we could eat as much healthy food as we want and wouldn’t get fat. That’s a lie. Micronutrients and minerals are still a thing, but so is CICO

What is CICO?

Calories In, Calories Out

That is actually way to much for one person imho. Personally, I limit it to 16oz a day at most. Dont have to give it up, just cut back.

Lol yes way too much.

Stuff is so good though, hard to not chug a whole gallon at once. šŸ˜‚

I almost drink a whole gallon when I do a pickup and it’s been a few days without.

What I like to do and it helps with over drinking the milk since it more satiating, is throw 3 or 4 raw eggs with the milk and blend it up. And its just delicious. Or add a banana or some berries and give it a little flavor boost.

Same, I feel so weak when I’m not eating fruit and Sourdough. Fruit, homemade bread, beef, and eggs is the way.

🤘🤘

Cool

🤘🤘

I don’t eat crap, but I’ve never been particularly careful with what I eat and feel sluggish and tired all the time. I’ looking to make a change, what would you recommend i look into? Thanks

Go carnivore for 1-2 months, introduce raw dairy and eggs in month 3, introduce cooked veggies, properly cooked white rice, fruits month 4 and beyond.

Immediately cut out all seed oils and stop eating out and start cooking all your food

Thank you, i took your advice, Day 01 complete 🫔 i’ve decided to document my progress here on nostr if you’re interested in following my progress. Where are you based by the way?

Love it.

We are out of SW VA šŸ¤™

My joints hate me if I eat too many carbs but I can’t do zero carb! ā€œSeasonal carbsā€ and cycling work pretty well for me

Seasonal is absolutely the way to go. Eating the way humans have ate for thousands of years 🤘🤘

Grocery stores fuck with our perception of what we are supposed to eat even in the produce section!

What season is honey?

Summer/fall šŸ¤™

Hell yeah

I really do think it’s just seed oils and processed sugars fucking us up

Could not agree more. Just because the body can produce the required glycogen without carbs, does not mean its ideal. Its a fail safe, and unless one is consuming more than their body's protein requirements, muscle will be broken down in order to produce the glycogen.

You get it 🫔

Trial and error

Agreed

I've always found that balance worked better than any wholesale restriction diet.

It's just a different balance for each person.

Yes and even balance is relative

Absolutely.
