I told a demoncrat their policy was a slippery slope, and she said that was the slippery slope fallacy. Basically, "Just because you say it's a slippery slope doesn't mean it is."

Personally I think this is because of too much individualism. However, I'm no expert on such things. I just feel this intuitively. I also have no perscriptions on how to change it. It's just the way things are now.
What you call individualism is the result of collectivism. Collectivist-altruist philosophy and tribalism is what leads to people who can't think or properly defend their positions. A lack of individualism is the problem.
An individual necessarily must think and use reason in this world. A collectivist follows a tribe and uses violence or fallacies because he has nothing else to offer.

He has been able to share one note, but is waiting for enough Data to be able to share more. He also needs to get his phone fixed so that it can charge while he uses it.
Both of these local leaders were people that I invited to Nostr, hoping to see them post so I could share and we could build a community of people who want to support their work and help them build a circular economy around where they live. I can't give much and that has been a disappointment, but I'm staying positive and encouraging them to share notes, photos and to invite others to build their local networks. As the network grows, so does the sats.
