if you don’t use Strike, what’s missing for you? how can we make it better?

10% is too high, btc is the real money, why should I pay you to loan you my btc in exchange for some worthless fiat that is constantly losing value? I get that some people need cash in a hurry and don’t want to sell their btc but double the collateral of the fiat? Not for me
then take out a credit-backed loan?
That is the interest rate that people are willing to lend at. It isn’t some random number. That is the market rate for taking a loan. Strike doesn’t decide it, people lending their fiat decide it, and the people who want to borrow have to decide if they are willing to pay that. Why is this so hard for people to understand?
I use it, but not as much as I would if the account had a debit card and could set it to spend from either the fiat or bitcoin balance.
Ditto.
I do honestly like strike as a whole so far. I would lie to see more typical banking stuff so I can use it for more typical stuff, even if it means dabbling in fiat world (since I'll never likely have enough BTC to live that crazy maxi btc-only life).
💯 This is where cashapp shines over Strike. I use and love both, but tend to default to cashapp.
I'd love a _debit_ card and ability to write paper checks- full on bitcoin bank. Also, lower loan minis for NJ.
Debit card would be bomber, being able to go to the ATM and withdraw cash and have Strike sell the bitcoin/utilize the LoC to give me the cash. 🫡
I currently use a convoluted way with Fidelity by mixing their crypto account with their cash management account. When I need to withdraw cash, I need to: open fidelity, login, sell bitcoin, transfer the USD between accounts, then withdraw.
I think you may have mentioned this in mailbag Monday last week. Are you planning on having multiple accounts available on an account?
For instance, if I wanted to wallets (one for direct deposit and normal purchasing, and one where all my mining sats go into would be great.
Or even a separate savings for my kids, etc.
I use it, but I’m telling you the line of credit is going to change the way I live. Can’t wait!
I think it would be very cool to see a a few series of videos showing each feature in the app and then a series on strategies of how to use the features in conjunction.
No KYC (obviously impossible for you but you asked)
My favorite feature is the swipe to open QR scanner. All I need.
Self custody only Maxie..
Can I access it from Guatemala ?
Strike is amazing man, plenty of features. You and your team are doing great.
Canadian availability ✌🏽. Or just Alberta if we successfully exit the union.
Get it in Canada. Would use it in a heartbeat.
- Multiple Bitcoin "accounts"
- Along the same line.. "Goals" that can be tracked in fiat & BTC side by side
- Periodic or automatic withdrawals to self custody
Joint account
Jack—I'm building L402 (Lightning 402) authentication for an API product. Does your payout/withdrawal API return the preimage after a successful Lightning payment? Need it to verify proof-of-payment. If not currently supported, is it on the roadmap? Thanks!
A debit card
Bitcoin interest on cash
Once the line of credit feature comes out, it would be awesome to have a third way to split your direct deposit: cash, bitcoin, and line of credit payoff. Personally, I would want the line of credit to automatically be paid off first with any cash that comes in and the remainder goes to bitcoin.
Remove KYC and I'll use strike.
Debt card
Aren't debit cards more difficult to undo fraudulent charges? Probably less likely if using bitcoin balance.
This might seem stupid. But I initially didn’t use Strike because it seemed like I could only use it via phone app. Not sure if you changed this since then. I don’t want to make significant financial transactions using my phone. May be related to my age? I’m 40.
Just some perspective. Phone is way safer than any PC. How many phone viruses and hacks have you heard of vs. Windows viruses and hacks?
Advertise on Nostr so we can repost the clips on all platforms. 10-15 second videos ads with audio from your mailbag podcasts. They should all start with Yooooo…..
I do use Strike but would love to be able to generate daily transaction csv files
Debit card and interest on balance would be great.
Add cointracker integration
Remove the middle finger logo transition during loading. Dont like to be flipped off by an app :P
I will add another vote for Canada.
Strike account holder but I don’t use it much yet. I just got access to borrowing. Pumped for the future of Strike and grateful for what yall are doing. Right now using Fold has more options to stack more sats and they incentivize you to onboard new customers. Maybe Fold’s business model is focused on newcomers to Bitcoin and Strike is focused on attracting whales but earning $10k to $20k in Bitcoin rewards through the years is compelling and lower borrowing rates with competitors is enough to not want to switch over to Strike yet for daily use. I will say the delay in transferring money into Fold is enough to make me want to switch to Strike when the LOC becomes available and just use Fold to buy my Amazon and gas gift cards. I know this is all small money but you asked. Keep making it easier for small businesses to have liquidity as they move to a bitcoin standard. Thank you for all you do!

Bitcoin loans in Texas

Individual loans in Texas.
Let people spend unsettled funds. I want to onboard users by having them download the app and pay me for something like splitting the bill. I know they aren't going to rug me, let me as a strike user take the counterparty risk so they can experience the instant payments on lightning.
Rught now i use cashapp as my bank and ny direct deposits. I dont go full strike app because it doesn't have a debit card or a virtual debit card. Some of us really dont ha e traditional banks or multiple banks. Some of us like to have one place do everything. And right now thats cashapp. Ya fees a higher on cashapp but i do everything from cashapp. Everything its my bank. I swipe my debit card at the gas station. If i only use strike app right now i cant do that. We need to spend dollars at a gas station or muffins at the cafe but i can from strike so thats why im not all in on strike. Some of us really dont have credit cards because we just dont. So a debit card for spend cash or a virtual card i can connect to Google pay or something like that.

Zero fee zero spread for all Bitcoin purchases. Or zero fee zero spread dca including the first week ( like CashApp )
Proof of reserves. That’s why I use river.
i think they are working on proof of reserves
Strike closed my account. When I asked why, they said that they cannot tell. 🤷♀️
Using Strike since day one in Europe.
You delivered.
If you’re not using Strike, you are literally losing purchasing power to those who do.
Highly recommended.
Happy user.
I currently have four active loans. I keep them separate to avoid paying interest before the due dates, which I cover with my BTC stack.
I’d love to see one aggregated view showing:
– total BTC stack
– total fiat loans
all in one clean overview.
Other than that: 10/10.
Big 21 investor here with fiat-trapped capital too. Took a heavy hit but I carry conviction.
Thank you for building this Jack. 🫡🧡🗽
I would love a way to integrate Strike into Sat Sorter, with the goal being anytime sats are spent with Strike, the transaction automatically pops up in Sat Sorter to be organized and budgeted. I can currently only do this sort of thing with NWC and Alby, but as a Strike user myself I’d love that type of automation. Same idea of using Plaid with fiat budgeting apps, but obviously better with the power and features of Strike, and the decentralized privacy of Sat Sorter.
Mortgage, car, personal loans, interest earning money market products, debit/credit cards, foreign exchange trading
Bitcoin is forex. It’s El Salvador’s national currency
I would like to see more cross app functionality. I wish CashApp could pay to Strike using my strike address rather than a QR code or lightning address. But I think that’s as nostr:npub1cashappn03s3cl2ljsdntv0v28e2um5lgx4vjctqjt23pcwzjhsqmtdg5l problem and not a Strike problem. I want to be able accept bitcoin payments from CashApp uses by them sending to my xxx@strike.me address. I do think it’s being worked on at CashApp too.
Other than that, I’d say that nostr:npub1ex7mdykw786qxvmtuls208uyxmn0hse95rfwsarvfde5yg6wy7jq6qvyt9 is doing about all I need. Buy Bitcoin, send to cold storage for no fee. I think the spend through feature that nostr:npub1cashappn03s3cl2ljsdntv0v28e2um5lgx4vjctqjt23pcwzjhsqmtdg5l implemented is a really cool feature for Bitcoin spend adoption by normies. But I don’t think “normies” will be downloading Strike first. I think Strike will be downloaded after normies use Cashapp to learn the system.
Your cashapp lightning address is your username@cash.app
No spread and no fees on direct deposit to bitcoin, like Cash App.
Just DCA, theres no fees
+1 for Canada availability
REMOVE KYC OR GFY
not available in switzerland
dito. he mentioned #switzerland during a q&a. something like: was planned for q4 2025, but will come q1 2026
New Zealand, thanks Jack. Love the pod (not a professional pod though) 🤙
Liquid and ecash withdrawals
I wanted to use it, but I refuse to scan my face in order to verify (Persona). Is that data subsequently deleted ?
You just reminded to strike downloaded
I sent an email to support and never got a reply.
Debit card
Credit card with Bitcoin rewards in Australia.
Checking account features für EU customers.
Main missing piece for me is seamless liquidity and minimal routing fees. Improving cross-chain integrations and offline payment reliability would make Strike even stronger
Several savings plans can be created with direct link to the Bitcoin address. For example, a savings plan for the children, a savings plan for nephews. Each directly linked to the hardware wallet Bitcoin address 👍🏼
Tried to sign up in the UK. Was told my KYC was being verified but never heard back, so I deleted the app. Sad.
Login via the website without downloading a closed source app.
I use to use it to DCA in New Zealand til debit card support was removed ☹️
When Singapore? 🇸🇬
I like the App, the Bitcoin only approach is a big plus, but in the EU, the fees for one time purchases are to high in comparison.
Lower spot fees.
Proof of reserve should be a industry standard.
Still use strike, but the reporting change has made keeping track of buys and sells a pita. Any way to get the customizable reports back? I've got a spreadsheet to track buys across multiple exchanges I use, easiest one to import the report to excel wins, and is the most used. Was strike for the last 3 years. The new reporting changes have me contemplating using River for DCA because after the changes at strike I have to manually change and edit a lot of fields.
I currently use Fold because with a monthly subscription ($10), I can swap between BTC and $ for no fee. If I used Strike, I would be paying more than $10/month in conversion fees (I believe).
That being said, I might make the switch when your line of credit product comes out.
I tried to navigate the terms and conditions associated with a Fold account and eventually got overwhelmed. The basic Ts & Cs are 33 pages not incl Privacy Policy. To link my bank account to the Debit card would require agreeing to the Plaid Privacy Policy (34 pages) and also Astra Ts & Cs (13 pages). Then if I want Exchange Services I have to agree to BitGo’s Ts & Cs. So my customer info would just proliferate to all these companies. It seems complicated. Plus, as I understand it, the only way to not pay fees when moving my money onto the Debit card is to set up direct deposit from an employer. So I’d need to really commit to moving away from my bank to take advantage of that. Otherwise it’s a1.5% fee to move money onto the account (capped at $25 per transaction) plus another 1.5% for BTC buys unless I pay $100 annually for the Fold+ program to avoid the exchange fee. I can see the potential benefit, but it seems like I’d need to redirect virtually all my net salary, all my bill payments, and all my credit card spending through that account and/or their credit card to really come out ahead. That’s a total upending and switchover away from my bank checking account and current credit cards. I understand that’s exactly what Fold is angling for. Not saying I like my bank. I actually dislike my bank and the paltry interest they pay on my balances. Are the benefits of switching worth it? If I went all in to rearrange my current setup the rewards could stack nicely. So far, by simply downloading the app, I have accumulated 75 free sats from daily spins of the wheel. But I guess I need to have 30,000 sats before I can withdraw to an external wallet. Oh well, that spinner pays better than some nostr zaps!
Last I checked or was not available here for Android.

Line of credit, interest on cash and strike debit/credit card in Portugal pls 🙏
Strike app won't accept a VOIP number. There is no technical reason for this. May be a policy choice by Strike or a 3rd party service they use. Disappointing. Works fine at River.
Availability in Switzerland is missing for me 😉
Canceled my personal bank account only use strike.
I’d like to get rid of my business bank account next. Bill pay for business account active yet?
Direct liquid withdrawals would be a game changer for me. I need it for some of my flows. I can swap on boltz but it costs
I do use strike but just not for these flows
Look at Bull Wallet, self custody, easy independent backup, but still connects with their exchange . Look at Wise and their arguably best conversion rates. Combine the best of both worlds and you have the Bitcoin maxi who lives on the Bitcoin standard, only converting at the moment, regardless of the price, anonymously, at the best fiat rate. It’s up the merchants to decide to stack sats and eventually accept my tap to pay lightning.
drop the KYC 😇
I don’t think you accept my shitcoin, the Norwegian krone 🤷
Recurring transfers to external accounts for fiat cash movement.
mortgage rate for mah corns 🌾 6% not 13%. loans r dum
USD deposits don't yet earn interest in BTC or USD. Other services offer that, Strike doesn't.
Bitcoin backed loans are 100% debt based fiat thinking. They are a distraction. It's not real earning, it's leveraging. I'm not interested in seeing leverage introduced directly on chain.
Lightning Yield Wallets are the next big thing on the horizon, they are the Big Boss in this round of the game.
I love most of what you're doing, Jack. Keep doing it. Explore and experiment.
Let me buy Bitcoin with plasma
Forgot which email I used to create an account and after trying a bunch, got banned by your fraud system. It might be overly sensitive.
Same with your phone number, if it’s already on file, you can’t join. 🤦🏻♂️
Don’t borrow against your Bitcoin. I’ve learned my lesson the hard way and will never fall for this trap ever again. Keep your Bitcoin in self-custody.
What happened? I’ve never studied the risk(s)
Celcius happened. Good lesson there!
Oh, I see. I hadn’t heard about the Celsius scandal but just read up on it. As a fairly new Bitcoiner I keep hearing all these marketing pitches about borrowing against one’s BTC. I wondered how it works and knew there had to be a catch. As I now understand, there are better and worse ways to do it. A better way is to keep the LTV sufficiently low so you don’t get wrecked it the collateral value drops precipitously; ensure transparent margin call and liquidation rules, use a smart contract or escrow agent, don’t give away ownership/don’t allow the lender to rehypothecate. My guess is that companies marketing these deals are structuring them in ways that transfer risk to the borrower so the company can make greater profits. If I ever have enough BTC to justify leveraging it, I’ll be careful who I do business with. Thanks for recommending this as a learning opportunity.
I'm a sole trader in Australia and can't access products yet BC of that unfortunately.
Kyc put me off. Otherwise I think it great.
Stocks for El Salvador denominated in BTC
and not like bankman fried, im talking like jack mallers style onboarding of the el salvador equity markets
KYC (Kidnap/Kill Your Customer) is bad.
Will be nice to be able to switch display from local currency to USD.
I will never use a KYC Bitcoin app.
Not what you’re looking for, I just wanted to say I’ve been a STRIKE user since y’all released, and I absolutely love it. Refer all my friends to you.
Industrial Bitcoin mining operations lending with Strike?
NWC would be nice!
Payjoin on all withdrawals. It's cheaper for strike
Beneficiary designations online.
can we get a debit/credit card or rewards on gift cards similar to fold?? :D
If your phone number is already in use, you can’t join, which seems like an arbitrary security measure.
What Strikes Missing
APYs on Bitcoin, and Fiat Balances.
Debit Card
Silent Payment, Coinjoin, or Payjoin withdrawals
Sats Cost Averaging (the ability to buy a set amount of sats on a frequent basis, both Coinbase, & Kraken offer this).
Maybe a Debit+, or a Buy Now Pay Later system since you’re leaning into credit products it seems, that’s where strike is ahead the most is credit offering.
If I recall correctly you were planning to do credit cards, if you are just make sure they’re reasonable, & not giga fiat.
I will be honest the other Jack has you beat as far as spending Bitcoin P2P.
But credit products might be your edge for now.
When are you (Strike) in Spain Jack ?
No kyc option is the only reason I don’t use it
For would be, new, and existing users: The ability to edit/change ones own user email addss for the acct without having to go through a relatively humiliating verification process (selfie, write a note, etc etc etc). Banks and CC companies will do it, so too can Strike (2FA and the like verification). Onward Sir 🫡
Ya lo hable contigo una vez, era mi wallet favorita pero desde que me pidieron KYC en Argentina tuve que abandonarla 😞
Ability to auto withdrawal exact amounts. Not just amounts over a certain threshold
L.O.C.
BTC interest on fiat
(Those two in works)
Ability to have separate ‘buckets’ in my account - checking, savings, for the kids, etc.
